friday.

to say that she was bored would be an understatement.

andie rested her head against the counter, waiting for people to arrive and buy tickets or snacks. unfortunately, dylan hadn't started his shift just yet — so she was stuck with a grumpy woman who got to her nerves.

she straightened her back and decided to scroll on her phone for a while. despite how hard she had tried, michael had persuaded her into creating an instagram account. it wasn't that bad, but she wasn't very into it either.

calum had uploaded a picture, in which she sat by the couch and hid her face with his snapback. they had finally opened up to the rest of the group about their friendship, and it did surprise everyone.

the downer of the past days had been how strange luke acted lately. first of all, there was no pda between the two in school at all. she didn't mind though, since couples being very open wasn't something she was very fond with. but barely even any body contact at all, not even hands. none of them had gotten any detention either, so they weren't provided with an hour alone.

she couldn't be more happy over the hair color change. barely any students recognized her, just as michael predicted, and she was granted to walk the hallways without receiving weird looks. maybe a few because people didn't recognize her, but none like before. but after a few days, people talked and soon realized it was indeed her, and some even commented her hair — not in a negative way. that was strange.

the woman beside her suddenly disappeared, and andie could exhale in relief. just a few moments later, she was accompanied with dylan, who had his usual smile plastered on his face.

"hey." he greeted her and fixed his shirt. she simply nodded and locked her phone, putting it in her back pocket.

"why are you wearing glasses?" she asked and tilted her head to the side.

"i only wear them sometimes." he shrugged and typed something on his cash register.

"uh huh." she mumbled and kept her lips parted. soon people began to enter the building and take out their booked tickets, or buy them at place and some snacks.

andie actually enjoyed the job. serving these people wasn't hard; the only ones getting her frustrated were the ones who wouldn't listen or follow the simple rules. other than that, she and dylan got to talk a lot and share stories, create stupid memories, they got to eat a lot of candy and popcorn, and she was granted to watch free movies so that she could tell her opinion.

"so how have you been?" dylan asked after a moment while serving two people.

"good. why are you being weird?" andie laughed and turned around to fill a box with popcorn.

"just wondering. is that weird?" he raised one of his eyebrows and shrugged sloppily.

"for you, yes." she retorted with a weird expression and scratched the top of her head.

"i'm good too, thanks for asking." he frowned with his lips and nodded his head in sarcasm.

she cocked her head to the side with a crooked smile and examined his face. as her lips returned into a plump line, she took a step closer to him with a frown.
