friday.

andie had just changed to more comfortable clothes and thrown herself on the bed when her phone buzzed from beside her. sighing, she rolled to the side and reached for it, answering the call without looking. only four people call her anyway.

"yes?"

"can you come over?" luke asked on the other line and scratched the back of his head.

"we literally just came home from school."

"well, it would mean a lot if you could. and i actually need your help, this isn't just a needed cuddle-time request."

"fine." she rolled her eyes and sat up with her feet on the floor. "i'll be there in ten."

"ten minutes? it usually takes you five."

"i have to change my clothes."

"don't. just come over."

andie frowned and gazed down at her soft shorts and puffy t-shirt. she decided not to ask and hung up, grabbed her keys and exited the apartment.

she walked over to the hemmings and knocked on the door. jack opened the door and smiled softly at her.

"hey. luke's in his room." he informed her while taking a step to the side.

"thanks. how are you?" andie asked and entered the house. she folded her arms together and smiled weakly.

"i'm good. you?" he laughed a bit and raised his eyebrows.

"i'm great." she shrugged and frowned with her lips. "i'll just go to luke then."

"yeah, do that." he nodded, and she began moving towards luke's room, but jack spoke up carefully. "andie?"

"yes?" she mumbled and halfway turned around.

"we're really glad you guys solved everything out. not trying to sound too cheesy, but you're like a sister now and it was starting to get really quiet without your loveable singing."

andie laughed while looking down and then peered up at him. she merely nodded out of gratitude and a sort of love, silently telling him she missed them just as much.

when he sent her a smile, she turned back around and knocked on luke's door. luke opened it, but just the slightest to pop his head out.

he walked out to stand in front of her and closed the door carefully. she only frowned of confusion and waited for him to speak up.

"hey. put this on." he sheepishly smiled and handed her a black overall.

"seriously? first of all, black is really not my color, and second... why?" she joked through the last part and pursed her lips.

"just put it on. we're not going out."

luke smirked with the knowledge that this wasn't an activity she would particularly enjoy, but would agree on. andie's eyes flickered across his whole face until defeat took over her, and she grabbed the painting overall.

"fine. but if this is some sort of prank..." she warned, pointing at him with her index finger while holding the garment.

"it's not." he assured her with a laugh and pushed her toward the bathroom.

confused as to why she was going to change in the bathroom and not his room, she locked the door and quickly dressed on the overall over her clothes. she eyed herself in the mirror quickly before returning back to him.
