wednesday.
"oh my gosh, you're the best." andie grinned as luke walked towards her with a bar of ferrero rocher.
luke laughed and handed it to her, the rest of their friends giving them weird looks. she smiled gratefully and leaned back in her chair. they were waiting for the gate to open, and then the plane home to take off.
andie took one and bit half of it first, then she solely ate the nut in the middle, and lastly the rest of the chocolate piece.
"complicated way of eating chocolate." luke commented and raised one eyebrow. she licked her teeth clean before answering.
"well, it's the best way. you save the best last of course." she shrugged and ate another one the same way.
"why don't you just put the whole piece in your mouth?" he asked, genuinely interested as to why she eats that way.
"because you stuff too much in your mouth and waste more time trying to chew it than to enjoy it. it almost tastes gross if you eat the whole thing." she explained and pursed her lips together.
"okay... understandable. but why eat the nut for itself?" he continued asking.
"it's the thing i like the least." she laughed, realizing what they were discussing.
"you two are so weird." michael commented from beside andie and shook his head.
"thanks, crazy hair." andie retorted sarcastically with a smirk and offered luke the last piece. "here, try my way."
luke smirked, making his dimples prominent, and accepted it slowly. he removed the paper and ate it the way she did. he hated to admit it, but it did taste different and better.
"well... yeah, it's a better way." he sighed in defeat and looked at her.
"i know." she smiled satisfied, leaned forward and pressed her thumb against the corner of his mouth. "you've got some here." she laughed and wiped away a small piece of chocolate remaining there.
"thanks." he giggled and pulled his fingers through his hair.
a few moments later, the speaker interrupted the groups conversation, informing that their gate was open to enter now. it was evident none of them wanted to leave, as if a wave of sadness washed over them forcefully. but ashton slowly stood up and started making his way over to the gate, everyone following behind him.
andie felt luke's fingers brush against hers frequently in the lightest way, but it was enough for her to lace their fingers together softly. she glimpsed his mouth turning wide at the ground, and happiness filled her immediately. something she really wasn't going to get used to.
they boarded the plane one by one, sitting by the same seats as earlier. luke, calum and andie by one row, ashton and britney in another, and then michael and diana.
andie leaned her head tiredly against the window and gazed at the airport. she sighed quietly, not entirely ready to go home just yet, and then closed her eyes until the plane lifted from the ground.
luke talked a little with calum until his dark haired friend fell asleep. in fear that andie was asleep too, he sat quietly and tapped on his lap with his fingers for a while. that, until she turned her head and put her hand over his.
"you tap a lot when you're bored." she observed and sat straighter.
"why aren't you sleeping?" he asked and smiled wryly.
