saturday.
"i'm here!" michael called as he entered ashton's house with two bags in his hands.
everyone were busy with hiding all the valuable and easy-destroyable items. all six of them were there now — luke, ashton, michael, calum, britney and diana — fixing the preparations for their party.
"about time." luke smirked and started pouring beer in the cups.
"shut up, blondie." michael muttered and scratched the back of his head.
luke laughed quietly while he looked around himself. diana and britney were sitting on the couch, talking, and calum was scrolling down his phone. ashton was finishing up with the music and michael was sorting what he had bought.
he walked over to calum and pressed his lips together. calum smiled at his friend and put away his phone.
"are you excited for the party?" he asked, crossing his arms and leaning his body against the counter.
"not really. you know i don't really do parties." luke mumbled, shrugging. calum pursed his lips with his eyes on the floor, a smile fighting to form by his lips. "but it'll probably be fun."
"yeah, i know." calum replied. "but i think this is gonna be fun."
"you better be right." luke exhaled, joining ashton to help him with the music.
approximetaly half an hour later, people from their school started to arrive, some faces more familiar than others. luke cringed when vanessa entered with her friends and decided to not be such a kind host when it came to her.
the more minutes passed, the more he started to enjoy the event. he felt like that was needed, to make something out of his boring life, and to pause his spinning thoughts for a while. all he focused on was to hang out with his friends and have a good time.
"here." diana approached him, offering a red cup. "i know you said earlier that you didn't want to drink, but one cup won't make any harm. and i seriously only mean one cup."
luke laughed as he accepted the cup, raising it slightly to thank her. he took a sip and put his free hand in his pocket.
"are you implying that you'll watch over me tonight?" he asked, looking down at her.
"i guess. i'm not a drinker myself, so it'd be nice to have a conversation with someone who doesn't slur his words or only wants to get inside my pants." she finished her drink and put away her cup. luke snorted and wiped his mouth with the top of his hand.
"then i'll be your buddy for tonight." he smiled, tugging on his lip ring.
"appreciate it." diana smiled back, fixing her shirt quickly.
andie crossed her arms underneath her chest as she walked up to the open door. the music already gave her a small headache and the smell of alcohol caused her to scrunch her nose up in disgust.
"wow. this reminds me of how little i miss frat parties and drunk teenagers." jake commented from beside her and crossed his arms too. she glanced at him with a weak smile and exhaled through her nose.
"sorry for dragging you here." she mumbled, biting her bottom lip. "but i refuse to be here alone."
"why did you even decide to come here in the first place?" he frowned, nudging her side carefully.
"there's someone i need to talk to, and while i do so, you can talk to whoever. you're hot so i don't think that's going to be a problem for you." she smiled, looking to the sides.
