saturday.

"andie? andie, wake up. andie..." crystal whispered, dragging out the last word, and poked her sister.

"go away before i hit you." andie groaned and twisted around, so her back was facing crystal.

"luke's here." crystal stated and watched as her big sister jolted up with her body, the messy, brown hair framing her face.

"what?!" andie exclaimed and immediately jumped up from the bed.

"i'm kidding." crystal giggled. "he called your phone, so i answered. he'll be here soon."

andie sighed and relaxed her whole body. she sent crystal a small smile before moving over to the bathroom and brushing her teeth.

she didn't know what to do with her hair; she just stared at it in the mirror and played with the ends, scrunching up her nose. not that she had much to choose between — it was either straight or wavy.

so she called diana, putting her on speaker, and opened her warderobe. a shuffling sound was heard from diana's end before she spoke with her tired voice.

"yes, andie?"

"i need help." andie said bluntly and say down on the edge of her bed.

"i'm listening."

"so... i don't know what you've heard, but i talked with luke the other day, and he explained himself." she said quietly, fiddling with her necklace.

"what could he possibly explain that would make things better?" diana scoffed and sounded much more awake.

"it's a long story, but i forgave him. sort of. it wasn't really his fault, it was my ex's. anyway, so we talked and agreed on going slow, so he's taking me on a date today."

"wait, wait, wait. you two are all good again, just like that? andie, he hurt you. badly. i'm not saying this because i want to be an ass, but because i love you and you're my friend."

"it's not like i took him back in a heartbeat, but i still love him." andie mumbled and pulled her fingers through her hair.

"fine. don't straighten your hair, leave it wavy." diana sighed through the phone, causing andie to frown.

"how did you—"

"you don't need to wear anything fancy, it's luke. he probably doesn't care."

andie smiled before getting up again and brushing her hair. she tried to explain the thing with chad as shortly as she could while dressing on her clothes and putting on just a little bit of make up.

"for real now, luke's here." crystal carefully informed her sister, standing by the door frame.

"okay." andie smiled and put the phone against her ear. "i have to go, talk to you later." she said to her friend.

"right. good luck i guess."

"oh, and diana?"

"yeah?"

"i love you too." andie stated before hanging up. she crouched down to give her sister a kiss on the cheek and walked towards the hallway.

"where are you going this early?" her father spoke up, slightly startling her.

"i'm going out with luke." she proclaimed quietly, putting a hand around the door handle.

"alright..." he mumbled and frowned with his lips. she cast a last glance at crystal before disappearing out of there, seeing luke waiting outside.
