andie.

wednesday.
"hello, andie. it's been a while." carly jackson welcomed the dark haired girl, who reluctantly placed herself in the small sofa.
andie blankly stared at the woman in front of her and wondered why the hell she was even there. it was, of course, calum's fault that carly had even called from the beginning. it did surprise andie though, since they hadn't met for quite a while.
"for reasons." andie mumbled and pulled up her legs against her body.
"i'm glad you're here." carly smiled and crossed one leg over the other one.
"not willingly though."
"but you're here, aren't you?"
andie clenched her jaw and looked to the side. she let out a sigh through her nose and thought of something to say.
"only because you haven't called in ages. figured it'd be important." andie shrugged and took her bottom lip between her teeth.
carly jackson was her old therapist. they hadn't had a session in years, so when andie received a sudden call from her, it must've been a little important at least.
"i talked to calum the other day—"
"of course you did." andie cut her off and cocked her head to the side.
"andie." carly deadpanned sternly and looked at her. "you signed calum hood to be the number one source for me to call. i've had weekly conversations with him ever since you stopped visiting, and he's been telling me about your life."
"he hasn't told me this." andie mumbled and hugged her legs with her arms.
"i asked him not to." carly confessed and put down the leg again. "he told me what happened with that girl the other day."
"of course the bastard did." andie muttered and rested her chin against her kneecaps.
she eyed the therapist discreetly, baffled over how little she had changed since the last time they saw each other. carly's brown hair was still tumbled down her shoulders, a bit wavy and middle long. she still wore a pair of shorts with a too big flannel. only now she had a noticable ring around her finger and her bangs pulled back with a clip. carly could easily seem to be around andie's age, and she wasn't much older either. maybe that's why andie actually could bear with her.
"don't call him bastard just because he cares for you." carly weakly smirked and leaned back in her chair.
"did you get married?" andie asked bluntly and nodded to her hand. as a reflex, carly gazed down at her fingers, a smile spreading across her face.
"yes. his name is matthew, not that i think you care but." she answered with a head nod.
"i do. and congratulations."
"thank you." carly grinned, but quickly suppressed it. "calum did mention some happy things too. your friends, the trip, luke..." she trailed off and glanced at the roof.
"is there a special question you want to ask or can i leave? you obviously chat with calum all the time." andie asked, already wanting to go home.
"shit, andie." carly groaned and pulled her fingers through her hair. "you haven't even been here for ten minutes. and yes, i have a very important question; how are you?"
"that's all? you wanted to ask how i'm feeling?" andie scoffed and raised her eyebrows in disbelief.
"that's all." carly raised her hands in the air softly and then let them fall.
