andie.

thursday.
"calum thomas hood!" andie marched over to the tanned boy who had just closed his locker and laughed along with his friends.
calum frowned before turning around, at the right time for andie to forcefully push him against the cold material.
"jesus, andie, calm down." he groaned and squinted with his eyes. "what is it?"
"i can't believe you've been talking to carly behind my back!" she said loudly and with one foot stood on her toes, automatically bending the other leg.
his face dropped a little and he gazed down, fidgeting with his fingers. she still held a firm grip of his torso, and his friends stood in complete chock. she couldn't blame them though.
"you were the one who signed me up to be the first one—"
"—she'd call, don't you think i know?" she laughed with no humor in her voice. "only if necessary. i didn't mean for you two to bloody chit-chat about my life!"
"andie, you're hurting my chest right now." he mumbled out of pain and tried to push her away.
andie did budge, but forced him back again, this time with her arm against his neck, but by the same height as his shoulders. he almost whimpered and grabbed the ends of her leather jacket in an attempt to pull her closer.
"why did you tell her about vanessa and tell her to ask me over? god, you know i hated that place!"
"look at what you're doing right now! i'm your best friend and you're pinning me against the lockers as if i just insulted you. that's why i called!"
her eyes flickered across his face before she abruptly backed off and angrily looked at him. he instantly put a hand against his neck and coughed briefly.
"you didn't have to tell her everything, cal. i know why you did it, but you also know i hate it when—"
"i know. sorry." calum apologized and folded his arms together over his chest. andie sighed and then realized his friends were still watching. a few more passed with a quick stare, but thankfully she hadn't made a scene. "wait, shouldn't you be in school?"
"we ended early today. two cancelled classes." she explained with a shrug and glanced at one of his friends, who not so discreetly eyed her.
"i've never seen such a feisty and tough girl." the guy commented and looked between the two.
"you should see her on her period." calum smirked, earning a shove by andie.
"hey, not funny." she exclaimed. slowly, the raging expression faded and was replaced with a very weak smile. "and i'm sorry for attacking you."
"it's fine." he waved her off before pulling her in for a hug.
"oh." she mumbled as she hugged back and rested her chin against his shoulder. "you even told her about jake. i mean, come on." she tilted her head to the side when they finished hugging.
"that just slipped out." he raised his hands in the air defensively and then dropped them.
"are you two together?" the same guy as earlier asked, moving his finger back and forth between them.
"no." andie answered quietly and pressed her lips together.
"okay. hi, i'm daniel." he introduced himself and stretched out his hand, which andie only glimpsed at.
