wednesday.

"he's going to kill me."

"he's not going to kill you."

"well, he's gonna beat me senseless."

"that... will most likely happen."

calum shot his eyes to her, and andie simply shrugged in response — she wasn't exactly going to lie to him. he groaned quietly and let his hands slip down his pockets.

"how was school?"

"don't try to change the subject." she retorted sharply and looked at him.

"i'm scared." he mumbled and bit on his bottom lip.

"luke is a lanky, innocent, lazy boy. you are muscular, you work out, and you're bigger. how can you be scared?" she laughed and folded her arms together.

"okay, whatever." he muttered and glanced at her. "i'm really sorry."

"that's like the seven hundredth time you've apologised." she pointed out and kicked on a rock as they walked. "i already told you that i forgive you. you can stop now."

"you're annoying. can't you please be more mad at me?" he whined and turned his head to her.

"no, sorry. the more you apologise, the more i think about it, which i don't want to. so... stop."

"it's only been four days. more or less." he remarked and raised his eyebrows.

"and that's many enough. please, just talk to luke and then drop it."

"just let me hate myself for as long as i need, okay?" he requested and gave her a look.

"fine, okay." she sighed and looked down at the ground. "hey, uh... if you wanted to hang out more, why didn't you just ask?"

"i haven't seen you this happy in a very long time. i love you and luke together, so much, and you always have fun. i just... didn't want to call all of sudden and be a bother." he shrugged.

andie darted her eyes over to him and stared at him. she deeply wished she heard him wrong, but he just gazed back at her with a questioning expression.

"please tell me you don't mean that." she said harshly. "please calum, tell me that's not the reason why you haven't–"

"i'm sorry, but it's the truth. you're always busy, either working, studying or being with luke. if i called, i would've felt like i was annoying you." she stopped walking abruptly, and he did the same.

"you bloody idiot. are you serious? you could never ever be a bother, why would you even think that?"

"i don't know, andie. it just felt weird, and i didn't want to bug you."

"i love you a lot calum, in a way i can't really explain, but if you ever think like that again, i'll cut your tongue off. and feed it to the wolves."

"ouch." he grimaced and stuck out his tongue to briefly touch it with his fingers. "please, don't ever do that."

"don't ever believe that you're a bother." she shrugged back and tilted her head to the side.

"can we keep walking again and get this over with now?" he asked, spinning his hand in the air before stretching out his whole arm.

"first, we're gonna do something. let's choose a day to always hang out on, every week. like, whatever happens, i'll come home to you and spend the day there. and night, if it works." she demanded, suddenly feeling bad over the fact that he felt the way he did.
