tuesday.

they finally rented a car. or, two cars since they were more than five persons. after a day by the pool, calum insisted on going to a discotheque and party, which everyone agreed on doing. andie didn't say anything though, but what choice did she even have?

so parking in the city, after a ride consisting of the boys singing their lungs out in their car, and andie and diana dancing in theirs, all seven of them met up by the street. luke put an arm around andie's waist — more in a protective than craving way — as they started walking around, with the sea to one side of them and the buildings to the other side. andie thankfully found it fascinating, and she started to enjoy simply walking because of the view.

the night before, after their day at the beach, andie and luke had managed to lay closer to each other in the bed. not that neither of them felt uncomfortable, on the contrary actually. but waking up in the morning, andie's face was closely pressed against his chest. and that was awkward.

so fortunately for them, it wasn't weird between the two, almost as if it never happened.

calum walked in front of them, singing about finally partying until michael shut him up by yelling. entertaining to say at least. andie snickered and gazed up at the huge building they now faced, with neon lights frantically moving around inside.

"don't worry, it's not that bad. just don't get lost in the crowd of dancing people." diana calmly said to her and winked.

"that's comforting. truly." andie smirked and tucked her hair behind her ear.

"i try." diana shrugged before following michael's lead through the entrance. they had to show their id's of course, even though the security guard was well familiar with them — except for andie. so they quickly greeted and introduced one another before she could enter with the rest.

music already pounded inside her head, but she tried to focus on something else. luke squeezed her hip and walked over to a small booth with a table.

"wow, i've missed this." calum grinned as he scanned all the people.

"you're unbelievable." andie faintly smiled and shook her head. he casually shrugged back in response and put his hands on his lap.

"who's gonna buy a drink with me?" he asked to no one in particular.

"not me. i'm driving." ashton declined and leaned back in his seat.

"i'm driving too." andie smiled and glanced at the bar. she volunteered to drive, merely so she couldn't drink. not that she would drink any alcohol anyway.

calum ushered for everyone else to follow him and buy drinks, leaving ashton and andie alone. she realized then that they'd never had a proper conversation.

"you know, i never really thought you'd actually come with us." ashton uttered and smiled softly at her.

"me either. but here i am." she said truthfully. she wouldn't even have joined them if it wasn't for calum.

"i'm glad you are." he said, surprising her a little.

"why?" she had to ask, tilting her head to the side with a frown.

"well... first of all, luke seems to enjoy your company and he's my best friend. second, you're pretty great to hang out with."

"i'm barely social." she stated and folded her arms against her chest.
