Special Chapter: My Everything

The beautiful sunshine woke me up.

If there's one thing I loved the most in my room is the window facing my bed. Obviously, the direction facing my window is the east kaya naman silaw na silaw ako sa sinag ng araw. But I don't mind at all. In fact, I love it so I got up with all smiles. Lumabas ako ng kwarto and I saw the whole apartment in silence. Okay, mukhang wala yung ate ko. And just like any normal apartments, its kinda messy. Dati, masisira muna ang araw ko bago luminis ang apartment namin pero ngayon okay lang sa akin. Sa aming dalawa kasi, yung ate ko ang tamad maglinis ng bahay kaya no choice ako na ako na ang magkusa. OC here, BTW.

But its different now.

Before starting the day, I decided to turn on the stereo for some music. If there's one thing that never changed is my love for music. I can't seem to live the day without listening to just one song from my playlist. Yeah, I'm that obsessed. I made myself a cup of coffee and made my way to the terrace which is one of my favorite parts of the house. Maganda kasi ang view dito, lalo na ngayo't ang ganda ng araw.

Habang umiinom ng kape, I can't help but to drift my thoughts to all the happenings in my life. Sobrang stressful ng buhay ko noon when I was just starting my life here in the metro. Sobra akong na-culture shock sa buhay dito kasi ibang-iba talaga siya sa buhay ko sa Malolos. But then, I learned how to adjust and fully adapt myself here. Dati pag tumatambay ako dito sa terrace na 'to, busy na agad ang utak ko sa kung ano ang mga dapat gawin sa work, etc. May pasok man o wala, hindi nababakante ang utak ko sa bagay-bagay. Pero ngayon, my mind is so peaceful. Ang gaan ng pakiramdam ko ngayon.

It's so different now.

Then my eyes landed on the thing I'm wearing, which made me smile. Hayyyy, siguro isa yun sa dahilan kung bakit masaya ako ngayon. Who am I fooling eh siya naman talaga ang nagpapasaya sa akin.

Jake.

He always brings out the worst and the best in me. Back in college, he never fails to darken my mood everytime na nangkukupal siya. Asar dito, asar doon. Yabang dito, yabang doon. Since lapitin siya ng babae, fling dito fling doon. Sure, he's a prince. Dark prince, more like. All the more reason to avoid him kasi he's not the type of person I should befriend with but it happened. 'Cause I learned that there's more to him that meets my eye. Jake knows how to make people happy with just his own simple gestures especially those who are dear to him, though minsan out of this world ang tactics niya. He's almost perfect, kung di lang dahil sa ugali niya. Yung ugali niya na siguro pag nakita ng ibang tao, hindi nila maiintindihan.

But I understand him now.

Kaya nga ako nagkagusto sa kanya eh.

Hindi lang gusto, mahal pa nga eh.

MAHAL na MAHAL.

Posible pala talagang madagdagan yung saya mo basta marinig mo yung boses ng taong mahal mo. I opened my eyes and smiled when I heard his voice. When I turned around, I saw him leaning on the terrace door. God, kahit bagong gising ang gwapo pa din!

"Good morning!" I said. Good morning indeed.

"Good morning." He smiled.

"Gising ka na pala." I walked towards him sa pinto. "Wait, magluluto lang ako ng breakfast."

"Wait." Pinigilan na niya ako sa paglakad.

He held both of my hands, smiling like an idiot. Pati tuloy ako nahahawa at napangiti din. He lead me inside the apartment, still wearing a goofy smile on his face na parang may binabalak.
