Nash can't help but lift his camera and take a candid picture of Cameron sitting in his chair staring out of the window at the rainy day. They usually would be at the beach but the rain drove them inside and Nash thinks Cameron seems kind of gloomy but he doesn't want to push him too hard. He has a growing collection of candids of his boyfriend, he's found that Cameron inspires him. He can't say that enough to him, Cameron is his muse.

Time has passed by quickly, the couple has solidified their relationship and their connection grows deeper the more time they spend together. Cameron has been spending most of his nights with Nash and his parents have finally noticed their son's absence. He spent the night at his house last night and when he went to the kitchen to grab some breakfast his parents were there waiting for him.

His mind rewinds the conversation over and over, the more he thinks about it, the more upset he becomes.

"Where have you been, Cameron? You barely spend the night here, this is your home. What are you doing out in the streets at night? Are you doing drugs? Is that what you've come to? Drugs to make you feel better about your disability that we tried to prevent?" His mother started off in an accusatory tone.

Cameron took in a deep breath to calm his temper. His parent's never cared about what he did or where he went, they would see him depressed but wouldn't acknowledge his struggles. They emotionally neglected him after the accident and it still hurt him. It affected him even when he didn't want it to but he grew used to it, he stopped expecting any sort of support from his parents. They felt that they had done enough with allowing him to live at the home and modifying it to his needs even though they actually didn't do much at all. They didn't pay a single dime towards any of the modifications and they collected rent from Cameron. They didn't support him at all.

He let out a harsh laugh that surprised his parents, he usually just stayed quiet whenever they had a complaint about him and would leave once they were done.

"Why do you care what I do at night? You get your rent money, that should be enough, no?" He replied sharply and his jaw clenched as he attempted to remain calm.

He knew that his parents did not have to take him in, the immediate time after he was released from the hospital was a very difficult time for him. Learning how to live his life without the use of his legs was stressful and overwhelming, he didn't have a support system and it made his struggles worse. He was thankful to have an amazing medical team, especially the physical therapist, Aaron, who he had gotten close with. Cameron had actually developed feelings for Aaron and it hurt to find out that it wasn't reciprocated. Once he was finished with his therapy, he never saw Aaron again.

"We're your parents, why wouldn't we care?" His mother countered just as sharply.

"You haven't cared what I did or how I was for years, why start now?" Cameron asked, he was genuinely confused why his parents felt the need to talk to him about his whereabouts.

They were quiet after his question and he raised an eyebrow at them. After a few minutes of silence Cameron rolled his eyes and left the house.

Cameron turns his head and smiles at his boyfriend who snaps another picture before putting his camera down.

"I can't resist," Nash says unapologetically with a soft smile on his face.

Cameron doesn't reply, he just turns his head back to the window and sighs quietly. Nash tilts his head, he's never seen Cameron so down and he wants to make it better. He bites his lips as he sets down his camera and approaches Cameron.

He slides onto Cameron's lap and wraps his arms around Cameron's neck. "Talk to me, baby." He pleads softly with a worried look on his face.

Cameron rests his hands on Nash's waist, he slips them underneath his shirt and rubs small circles on his waist.
