MEET ZAC

HERSHEY'S POV

Hindi ko akalaing tototohanin ni Zac ang pagsunod niya dito sa Pilipinas. Sa kabila ng kaabalahan, hindi naman siya sensitive para magtampo dahil pinauna ko na siyang umuwi kasama ni Mama kahit noon lang silang nagkita at nagkakilala. Gising pa si Zac ng dumating ako sa bahay. Nilalaro niya si Hiker. Magkasundo kaagad ang dalawa. Humalik siya sa akin sa pisngi. Lalo siyang pumogi.

"So, have you rested?"

"Not quite..."

"Would you like to come with me in the office? I'll introduce you to Sir Rodney and help me out with my work then we can visit different places over the weekends. Will that be alright?"

"Can you not take your leave?"

"I told you, we have a lot of deadlines. "

Kasama ko sa kuwarto si Zac. Binilinan siya ni Mommy na magbi-behave.

"Yes, Mommy. I promise to behave myself while sleeping. I don't sleepwalk and go over someonelse's bed"

Sabay kindat kay Hershey at tumawa pa ito. Nanlaki tuloy ang mata ng ina. Bago matulog, naghanda ito ng sulat para kay Rodney. Tatapusin na niya ang ilusyon sa binata. Alam niyang makakalimutan din niya si Rodney.

"Is he the one?" Tanong ni Zac habang nakahiga siya sa kutson na nasa sahig sa tabi lang ng aking kama.

"You are very keen. How'd you know?"

"I'm quick to notice..."

"Yeah... But he doesn't seem to notice me. He just give me pain."

"So why do you need to stay with him?"

"This is what I love, in the first place... "

"But your are always hurt every time you see him... Was that her girlfriend this morning?"

"I guess so..."

"Let's sleep now. I have a lot of things to do in the office"

"Good night, Hershey"

"Good night, Zac... Don't let the bed bugs bite"

Kinabukasan, nandun muli ang babae... Dion pala ang pangalan niya. Ipinakilala naman ni Hershey si Zac.

"Sir Rodney, Zacchary Schurman here is from the school in London. We were classmates"

"Why are here?"

" I've come to visit Hershey and experience Christmas in the Philippines"

"So, you're here for Hershey."

"Yes, I think I can help her finish her work, if you don't mind. I'll stay with her."

"Sure, that will be a great help for all of us"

Lumabas na sina Zac at Hershey. Dinig ni Hershey ang sabi ni Dion. Hindi na iyon pinansin pa ni Hershey. Hindi na rin niya nakita ang reaksyon ni Rodney pagkatalikod nilang dalawa ni Zac.

"Rodney, kain tayo"

"Sige, magpapa-order ako ng spaghetti sa baba"

Itinuro ko na sa canteen ang recipe ko sa pagluluto ng spaghetting gusto ni Rodney. Sabay silang kumain sa loob ng opisina. Masaya si Hershey habang ginagawa ang kanyang template design.Para sa kanya, iyon na ang huling template na gagawin niya. Hindi niya namalayan ang paglipas ng buong maghapon.

ZAC'S POV

I know Hershey. This man in front of me is her interest. She is obviously jealous with Dion. The way she stared could already swallow the suspected girlfriend of Rodney. This girl is going gaga over this man who doesn't even care a bit of Hershey's feelings.
