I laid next to Michael on his bed, staring up at the ceiling. His hand was holding mine, his thumb slowly rubbing soft circles on mine.
"Mikey, I want you to promise me something."
"Yes, kitten?"
I sighed. "Well, first, I need to ask you something."
"What is it?"
I sat up quickly. "Are we...you know...?"
Michael raised an eyebrow, also sitting up. "I don't know, actually. That's why you're going to tell me."
"Michael, sometimes you're so stupid." He cracked a grin and bit his lip.
"Call me stupid again, babe. It turns me on."
I slapped his chest, frowning at him. "Seriously, Mikey. I just wanted to know if we were a couple."
His smirk disappeared, replaced by a genuine smile. "Of course we are, love. I did declare my love for you in the middle of a concert."
I laughed. "That was funny."
Michael frowned. "You know what else is funny? Your face." He then stood up on the bed, posing like Superman. "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's..." His proud stance faltered slightly. "I don't have a superhero name."
"Because you're not super." I grabbed him by the ankle and pulled, and he lost his balance. As he fell, a loud crack sounded through the room. "Michael Gordon--"
"Don't you call me that! And it's your fault! You broke the damn bed!"
As Mikey glared at me, I started laughing hysterically. "We broke the bed. We broke a fu--"
"Don't curse."
I stared at the boy with the bright coloured hair in front of me. He looked dead serious, which scared me quite a bit. "Did you just tell me that I'm not allowed to curse?" He smirked. "Michael. Don't tell me what to do."
He let out a soft giggle, which startled me. "It's a joke, darling. You're hot when you're angry." He leaned in and pressed his lips to mine, pinning me down to the covers. As he reached down to pull off his shirt, I kneed him in the stomach.
"Go take a shower."
"Wow, alright, I see how it is--"
"Away with thee, Clifford."
