After a horribly silent car ride, we showed up at the hospital. In the waiting room, Michael had his head all the way back and was groaning every few seconds. I did feel bad, I had to admit. I put my hand on his shoulder and looked at him. "I'm sorry. I got a little bit...too upset, I guess."

Michael looked up at me and grimaced, tears forming in his eyes. "This really hurts."

I giggled. "I'm sorry. But I'm still angry."

"Why the hell are you angry?"

I unlocked his phone and showed him the text conversation. "Who is this, and why is she texting you?"

He stared at the phone, raising an eyebrow. "I have no clue."

"It's that many girls, huh?"

"What are you talking about, Josie!?"

I frowned. "She knows who you are, Michael."

He sighed. "I honestly don't know, Josie. Why don't we try calling her?"

I sighed. "Alright. Fine. Let's call her."

The phone rang a few times, and then she picked up. I immediately recognised the annoying, nasal voice. "Chelsea?"

"Is this Mikey-poo?"

Michael frowned. "How did you get my number? I thought I blocked you!"

She laughed. "Think again, bozo."

I hung up and stared at Michael, who was smirking at me. "What did I say? What did I say to you from the beginning?"

"I'm so sorry, Mikey." I kissed his cheek.

"Michael Clifford? Come with me."

We went with the doctor into the room and they took all of his stats, then set off pulling the fork out. As they did so, Michael grasped my hand, squeezing it as tightly as he could.

"Shit, Michael, they're going to have to admit me in a few minutes if you keep squeezing my hand that hard."

They finally stitched Michael up and then we were able to get him discharged. Michael sat on the hospital bed, just in his boxers, a large bandage wrapped around his thigh.

"I'm so sorry, Michael. I didn't mean to--"

"It's alright, Josie. I forgive you."

I wrapped my arms around Michael and started crying. "I was just worried I'd lost you."

Michael laughed, pulling me onto the bed next to him. "You'll never lose me, kitten, I love you to the moon and back."
