Eddies pov

My head was spinning around and around, the thoughts were once again blurring into a mess I just couldn’t decipher. It was just after midnight and the fact that I was running on hardly any sleep, and pretty damn drunk didn’t help at all. But it wasn’t just alcohol that was blurring this stuff around my mind, pulling at the deepest corners of my sanity. It was ashley again. I’d found her inside alone not much more than an hour ago, and being drunk often makes you do things you regret, and most of the time you don’t even remember. But I knew I’d remember doing that, question was would I regret it?

We’d sat, side by side in andys lounge room for ages, she had tears running down her cheeks half the time and I think I even had one or two sneak out. But at least we’d spoken, she’d apologized, and I’d apologized and I think we’d sorted some of it out. Maybe this tour wouldn’t be so bad? Now I was back outside whilst she was inside, with Shaun, it bothered me that he’d been gone so long. Without even coming down even once.

I heard a door slam, we were sitting on the back porch, Jackson, Jed, jumpnow, Jimmy and some blonde chick were playing pool, whilst James and Bradie were talking drums. I didn’t even know where everyone else that’d been here had gone. I was strumming on someone’s guitar I found Shaun on the kitchen floor, passed out and frowning. Where did Ashley go?

I wanted to find her but at the moment Shaun looked a little more vulnerable. “Shaun. Wake up..” I poked him in the leg until he woke up, he looked totally wasted and crazily worried about something. “.. The fuck are you?” he muttered holding his head “um I’m Eddie, from because they can.. You asked me to come?” he looked confused and totally out of it so I turned to go and find Andy or someone. “where’s ash?” he said it in barely more than a whisper, he looked pale and his eyes weren’t with it. “I’d like to ask you the same question. You’re her boyfriend.”

“shit shit shit! He seemed to snap out of his trance-like state and sat up fully. “do you know what she could do? DO YOU? Why aren’t you looking for her?” yeah, I knew what she would do, and I knew far to well where she’d do it. Therefore where she would be. “you’re her boyfriend. You find her” I spat out and walked off slamming the kitchen door behind me. Shaun had always been one of my favourite guys, but I had to say he wasn’t living up to the expectations I’d had for him. How could he let someone he was dating and knew all about get like this, and then let her walk away knowing what she did when she was in these states?

I could hear Shaun behind me, trying to navigate his way around, but he was way past it and extremely wasted. Looks like it was up to me, I wasn’t going to let her do this, no matter what it took.
