Floating. White. Painless.
I was floating in nothing but whiteness. The pain was gone and the slight rocking motion was soothing.
After what seemed like an eternity my eyes managed to open through the bloody false lashes to reveal the back seat of a car and the back of someones head before the pain took over and I blanked out again.
‘Is she ok?’ The voice of some one very familiar with a strange americanish accent asked. As I once again opened my eyes to reveal a very concerned Shaun Diviney. Forgetting everything, even where I was, a loud earsplitting scream escaped her lips.
Strong hands pushed her back against the bed and a light shone in her eyes. After countless tests and painful stitches I was aloud to leave.
Me and Shaun slipped silently out the back door and right there waiting was Jimmy and the Blink-Mobile!
Judging by his face I knew my injurys must be bad, and driving back to the venue as blink 182 boomed loudly through the speakers I began to worry. Instead of dumping me out the front I was steered backstage. The smiling faces of Bradie, Andy and Sonny were all there as well as the angry but innocent face of Callie….
By the evil look in her eyes I knew so well, I knew it meant trouble. I kept staring until a pair of hands grabbed my shoulders and twisted me around… The hands belonged to Shaun Jennings and the look on his face told me I looked awful. He lead me to short stack’s hair and makeup artist Sarah and she gently cleaned me up and made me presentable. I was not paying attention but when the voice I knew belonged to bradie Webb broke the silence I got excited again. Bradie asked my name and looked through his wallet until he came across a creased photo that I recognised imeadeatly, it was my year 6 graduation photo….. When I looked back at bradie he had a really excited look on his face like he had just found something he really wanted.
Bradie whispered her name and hugged me tight. ‘imogen, I have missed you so much I can’t believe it’s you’ was all he managed before tears overwhelemed him and he had to turn away…
I was shaking when Shaun appeared and hugged me, i didn’t know what was going on and didn’t realise that i was crying into shauns chest. When I did I just went red and went off alone. Lost and confused I kept walking until I found Callie,all I wanted was to talk but Callie pushed me away and ran off.
I stared after her, convincing myself not to cry again, but it was hard and before I could stop them the tears started to flow again. I sat down in the corner all alone and upset when my phone beeped. it was a message from Callie asking if she could explain and she was sorry. I stood up and an arm balanced me, the arm belonged to Bradie Webb, I really liked bradie but this was starting to creep me out…
