Shauns pov
Imogen was back and oh god, I was not impressed to say the least I mean, I was happy enough to see her but the way we had said goodbye it was the closing of a chapter, a mixed up, confused, crazy chapter that was never meant to happen. Or maybe it was. Either way, this now, was supposed to be a new chapter, a chance for the both of us to forget what’d happen and move on. Now, she was back, screwing up my new chapter and ruining my mood.
Ash only had a day and a half left in the hospital, I wanted to bring her back to my house and let us have our own second chance. The time we’d spent at my house since we’d gotten together wasn’t exactly perfect, there had been my breakdown and her pregnancy and such so I wanted us to try again. That’s why as soon as I got back from being quizzed and photographed for a magazine I was in my room with the music going and cleaning up. My room still looked the same as it did when I was 18, concert tickets and such pinned to the walls, posters and photos taped to the door. But, upon further inspection under my bed I found all the undies and socks I’d lost since I last looked under my bed about a year ago. If they hadn’t been mine which was bad enough then I would have been super grossed out. I pulled the sheets of my bed and found another few socks and a few gutair picks.
Jimmy turned up half way through my cleaning frenzy, walking in on me singing along to danger days in the voice I reserved for these occasions, my worst singing voice. I’d known Jimmu for so long it didn’t seem to faze him, he just turned down the music and smiled. I knew he was hurting over shae, but it was only a few weeks until he saw her again. Turned out he was bringing the news that our next tour had been confirmed at all locations, it felt like we’d only just finished a tour seeing as I hadn’t really had a chance to relax but honestly I couldn’t wait to get back on the road. Everyone seemed to get along when we were touring, but I had to focus on ash for now. I turned the music back up and Jimmy took the hint and gave me a smile and disappeared out the door.
Looking in the cupboard I recoiled in embarrassment, how could I have let ash in here. There were split skinnys, odd shoes, cans and cans of half used hair spray, eyeliner sticks and awkwardly a bra that looked suspiciously like my ex girl friends. Each of these things was a part of my history, they each contributed to who I was now, but on the other hand they were just junk. Just useless crap that I was never going to even touch again.
An hour and a half later my room was perfect for ash to come back to, now I just had to get her to stay in Sydney and come back and stay with me.
I was drinking a beer and checking my twitter when I heard someone knock on the door and it took all I had to not slam the door back in imogens face when I opened the door to reveal her face.
‘can we talk Shaun?’
‘no. Why are you here?’
‘your talking to me Shaun.’
‘just go away imogen I’m not in the mood.’ then I shut the door in her face and it felt amazing
