Chapter 17

Adam sat on the tailgate of Tim's truck with Olena as they watched Tim and Austin show Chris how to skin the animals that they had caught.

Chris was loving every minute of it. He never, in a million years, thought he would ever be doing something like this. He realized that the two brothers depended on these pelts for money. This was the way they made their living. So he was being very careful not to screw the pelts up. Tim was showing and explaining to Chris everything that he was doing.

He was very patient with him and answered any questions that Chris asked. Tim could skin these critters with his eyes closed. He's been doing it all of his life. He was the one who taught Austin how to do it.

Adam smiled as he watched the two work together. His 'future boyfriend' and his brother working and laughing side by side.

"You sure you don't want to learn this?" Tim asked smiling, glancing over at Adam.

Adam had lent him a bandanna to tie around his head to keep his hair out of his face, considering his gloved hands were covered in blood. Tim had joked about looking like Willie Nelson.

"No Thank-you." Adam smiled. "I'll leave that to you, Chris and Austin. But I will let you show me how to clean fish. I love to fish, just don't know how to clean them."

"Deal." Tim answered with a wink and a smile.

Olena looks around at Adam and smiles, raising her eyebrows.

"What?" Adam asked with a small smile on his lips.

"I didn't say a word." She giggled.

"Yea, but you were thinking it." Adam grinned.

"I was just thinking how cute you two are. I love Tim with all my heart, not in the same way as Austin, of course" She said with a giggle. "As long as I've known Tim, he's always been alone. And it's really sad too, cause he is a gorgeous man and sweet as can be. But I've never seen him give anybody a second glance, that is, until you came along. And then when I saw you two coming up the path holding hands? Hun, I wanted to do a happy dance right here in the yard. Oh. And let's not forget to mention the swollen lips." She added with a raise of the eyebrows.

Adam smiled, biting his bottom lip. "He is a great kisser."

"Hun, hush yo mouth." Olena laughed out elbowing Adam.  Causing the other three to look up from their work.

"What's so funny over there?" Austin asked with a smile.

Tim looked at Adam, who had his hand on his bandanna covered bowed head and was actually blushing. Tim smiled to himself, thinking how gorgeous Adam was. His eyes shifted over and met Olena's eyes watching him. She had seen that twinkle in his eyes when he looked at Adam. She nods her head in Adam's direction and winks at Tim.

Tim pulls off his bloody gloves and washes his hands and dries them. He walks up to Adam sitting on the tailgate and runs his hands up Adam's legs. Causing Adam to look up at the man, now standing between his legs.

"Something wrong?" Tim asked softly.

All Adam could do was smile and shake his head. For once he was speechless.

Tim reaches a hand under Adam's hair to the back of his neck, pulling him into a passionate kiss.

"AYEEEEE!!!" Olena screams out and starts clapping.

"Go for it, Bro." Austin laughs as Chris just chuckled and shook his head.

Adam brought his arms up around Tim, laying his hands on Tim's back, pulling him closer.

"Whooo, it's getting hot over here." Olena laughs, fanning her hand as if to cool them off.

Tim starts to chuckle having to break the kiss. He lays his forehead against Adam's as they both try to catch their breath.

"You don't ever have to be alone again." Adam whispers in Tim's ear.

Tim looks into Adam's blue eyes. "Promise?" He asked in a soft voice.

Adam rubbed his thumb gently over Tim's cheek and looked into his eyes. "I promise."

They softly kiss each other and Tim hugs him tightly, burying his face in Adam's neck.

Adam rubs his hand up and down Tim's back and turns his eyes toward Olena sitting beside him.

She gives him a soft smile while batting back her tears. She swallows down a lump in her throat. "Hey, I got an idea." She said quickly wiping a tear from the corner of her eye. "Why don't you guys  wrap this up and we'll get ready and go into town for a few drinks and something to eat."

"I didn't know there was a restaurant in town." Chris said.

"Well, I guess you might call it a restaurant, it's a little place called 'Hattie's Shack'. It's just a little run down place but Hattie makes the best cheeseburgers." Tim said, slipping back on his gloves.

"Aw, man, you ain't lying. They are awesome." Austin chuckled.

"I could go for a big juicy cheeseburger right now." Adam said, watching Tim as he worked.

Olena hops off the tailgate. "Hey, Adam? Chris? You guys can come with me if you want and take showers at my place. My hot water lasts longer than their's" She said with a smile.

Chris looks at Tim, who nods. "We got this."

Adam and Chris goes inside to grab them a change of clothes. After Adam gets his clothes, he goes to Tim's closet.

"What are you doing?" Chris chuckled.

"Picking out something for Tim to wear." Adam said looking at different shirts.

"I know what you're doing, you sneak." Chris said crossing his arms over his chest.

"What?" Adam asked innocently.

"You're gonna see if he wears what you want him to wear or what he wants to wear." Chris said, raising his eyebrows. "Am I right."

Adam just smiles. "You ready?"
