Chapter 1- Brooklyn

Well I hope you enjoyed meeting everyone. We're all a little strange and weird but we're a family. You're probably wondering what happened to our parents, or if we even had them right? No? Well I'll tell you anyways. We were all born as relatively normal babies. When our abilities start to show, scouts from the organization for people like us would come to our houses to talk to our parents. They said they understood this was difficult and the organization could take custody of us. Most of our parents did this straight away. Some of them, like Dakota and Ada's parents tried to stay in contact and still see their children but eventually we all ended up the same, in an institution, parent-less.  

Now our powers or gifts, you're probably wondering what they are. They're pretty amazing. I can control and influence people's minds. I can make them think or see whatever I want them to. I try to refrain from using it whenever possible but sometimes it's a handy gift to have. Ada can read people's minds. She can only read them when she's touching the person but it's still a great gift! Lucia's a telekinetic. It's pretty cool too. Flo and Vie have similar gifts I suppose. Flo can fly and Vie can levitate things. Geneva is able to paralyse anything by simply looking at it. That's awesome! Paris has control over water. It's one of the elemental gifts. Four of our class have them. London's a clairvoyant. She can see into the future and predict our future which is handy given the nature of our being.  

Nova's gift is very unique. We're told she's the only one in the world that possesses such a gift. She can manipulate people but only when they see her eyes. We're told it's because she's so beautiful. That her gift is so unique. Dakota has control over fire. Another of the elemental gifts. It's quite funny really. She has one of the deadliest gifts and she's the sweetest person ever. Austin's gift is also very unique. He has limited gifts, but is able to use every gift of any person he's ever been in contact with. That's pretty cool if you ask me. 

Kyoto has invisibility. Harper is special. He's what we call a Dominator Virtutis. Master of power. They have control over the elements and every single other power that exists. There are only three in the world. Orlando has power over the earth and land, the third of our elemental gifts. Phoenix can teleport. It's funny when he teleports right behind someone and makes them jump out of their skin. Shelton has power over the air, which is our final elemental gift. Travis has compulsion which is really cool. I suppose it's pretty similar to my gift really. Beth is very special too. She's one of the three Dominator Virtutis.
