One Week Later...

"Jailee." My boss said softly knocking on my office door.

"Yes?" I answered.

"Bryson is here to have a conference with you."

"Bring him in." I replied.

I told Bryson about the job I scored him. He was more than happy to accept it and ever since then we've been seeing each other more especially during the times I work.

Me and Carmin have been on good terms for a couple of days. She literally was over the whole thing three hours later. She couldn't hold a grudge if her life depended on it, especially with me.

"I had something I wanna ask you." Bryson said as he sat down in front of my desk.

"What is it?"

"When're we gonna be shootin' the commercial?"

I sighed.

"We've been over this during many press conferences."

"Well... I forgot."

"Again?"

He nodded his head yes.

"Next Friday from twelve to two on the fifth floor."

"I'm not sure if I'm busy that day."

"You said that worked for you."

Bryson definitely was not good at business.

"Shit comes up." He said as he shrugged his shoulders.

"That's the only time and day that's open to us since the fifth floor is going to be in use for that whole week. Our supporters are expecting something and this is our only day."

"I guess I'll have to reschedule my madden game with Derek." He said getting up from the chair.

"Wait who'd you just say?"

"Derek?"

"Yeah, Carmin 'goes out' with a guy named Derek."

"Oh yeah, I remember hearin' bout some bullshit wedding."

"Isn't it weird that they're in a rush to get married?"

"I heard that the only reason why they're gettin' married is because Carmin's pregnant."

"Wait... I've never heard that, but it does make sense why she's in a rush to get married."

"Just because you're pregnant doesn't mean you gotta get married."

"Carmin's family is very religious and believes in sex after marriage and that's what she was always taught growing up, until she disobeyed that when she was fourteen."

"Okay and..."

"If her parents find out she's pregnant without being married they'll know she didn't listen to what they said and they'll disown her since she's not their ideal 'child of god'."

"Damn."

"Ms. Rayner?" The receptionist desk called.

"Yes." I answered.

"We have a visitor for you by the name of Carmin."

"Let her in." I responded.

Speak of the devil.

"Just don't say nothin' to her bout the pregnancy."

"What? Why?"

"This was somethin' I wasn't even 'posed to know about."
