Two Weeks Later...

"I'll fill that void girl true enough."

~•*~•*~•*

"Stop baby." I giggled as Michael tried to plant kisses on my lips.

Michael and I were sitting under one of the trees in the park enjoying the scenery and kissing a little.

Since Bryson had no restrictions on who I could talk to, I started talking to Michael heavy over the course of a week and a half. We've been keeping our business on the down low to avoid any problems with anyone even though we haven't made it official and are just friends with benefits right now.

"Just gimme one more." He begged.

I quickly pecked him on the lips.

"That wasn't no real kiss." He pointed out.

I laughed.

"Stop playin' with me baby." He said pulling me closer to him as our lips touched turning into a long make out session.

"Now will you take me home?" I asked once e pulled away. "I promised I wouldn't leave Trent with Lauren and Devvon for too long."

"You promise to call me later?" He suggested.

"Of course I will." I responded as we started walking to the car.

"How you feel about goin' back to work tomorrow?" He said pulling out of the parking lot.

"Oh my god Michael, don't remind me."

He laughed.

"What tike you want me to pick you up tomorrow?" He asked.

"From work?"

"Where else?" He replied.

"I do have a car."

"And maybe I wanna take you out."

"Fine Michael." I sighed. "Pick me up around five."

"Sounds good." He said as we pulled up to Lauren and Devvon's house.

"Ayo cousin!" Devvon yelled out the window to Michael as I got out the car.

"What's good homie?" He yelled back.

"Ayo you hittin' that?" Devvon asked.

"Keep fuckin' with me Devvon." I threatened walking up the porch steps opening the door.

"I'll catch up with you later then!" Devvon yelled again.

"Aight." I heard Michael reply.

"Where's Lauren?" I asked Devvon once he came downstairs.

"In the living room with the baby." He replied continuing to rummage through the fridge.

"Ugh! Who the fuck gon go food shopping for this house!" He complained.

"How about you get your lazy ass the fuck up and do it yourself!" Lauren yelled back.

I was used to all this arguing being that I've been staying with them for a couple weeks, so this was nothing new to me.

"Hey Laurie." I said calling her by her nickname.

I extended my arms out to give her hug, but something was wrong. She didn't even bother to throw her arms around me and embrace me how we always did when we saw each other.

What was her problem?

"Have a seat Jailee, I really been needing to talk to you lately."

"Okay." I said reluctantly sitting next to the couch next to her. "What's this about?"

"Being that's Michael is my cousin-in-law, if that's even a thing, I know how serious he is about you."

"Okay..."

"If your not serious about being with him, don't even bother wasting his time when all he is to you is a side nigga that you can run to whenever you and Bryson don't work out. This is the second time this is happening and I can't just sit here and let this happen."

"I'm very serious about Michael, Lauren."

"You and I both know that's a lie. You know what I think the problem is? You just can't stand being single, can you? When something doesn't work out you look for a guy to fill that empty void. It's obvious that Bryson's the only man you want all he has to do is come to you, apologize, and then it's all good between you guys again. You may not realize all of this, but when you leave Michael for Bryson you're messing with his feelings."

I sighed. Even though I didn't want to say this, I had to.

"You're right."

"I'm sorry if I may have came off as a bitch early, but you know how much of an outspoken person I am and this has just been irking me for a while I had to tell you."

"No Lauren, it's fine. I'll just end things with Michael tomorrow."

"Just lay him down easy, okay? He isn't necessarily the best at break-ups."

"I'll try."

"Trent's taking a nap in the room if you wanna see him." She said. "Now lemme go see what Devvon's greedy ass is bitching about now." She said getting up from the couch.

"Stop talkin' shit and get your ass in here and start flippin' some burgers or somethin' 'cause you got a nigga starvin'."

"Keep talking to me like that and I won't be making shit for you Devvon!"

"If you ain't cookin' for me then let a nigga eat ya pussy."

"Devvon!" She said in disgust as he just laughed.

This is the type of stuff I've been hearing non-stop ever since I've been staying with these two, it was a pretty decent place until I could save up the money and invest my money into an apartment or condo that's big enough for Trent and I.

All night, I thought about ways to break the news to Michael and no methods seemed right. I knew his feelings for me were strong, really strong. I just hoped he would be able to take all of it well.
