Addition to the Family

Chapter 18

When their lips part a shiver runs down Hiccup's spine. Just then Hiccup sneezes.
"Achoo!"
"Bless you," says Jack, "we should probably head back, you might catch a cold."
Hiccup nods and they two boys stand to walk back. Jack wraps the blanket around the both of them and make their way back to the Haddock household. When they get back Stoick and Valka were sitting on the couch with Toothless purring on the floor.
"We're back." Hiccup grins, "We're going to bed now." he kisses his parents, then picks up Toothless. "Goodnight kitty!" He smiles and then kisses him too. Observing Hiccup do this act made him giggle. Hiccup turns around and places a hand on his small hip.
"Are you laughing at me?" He smiles.
"Maybeee" Jack smirks and crosses his arms. Hiccup runs towards him, but Jack is quick and slides away, running up the stairs. Laughing, Hiccup follows him into his room. He tackles Jack to the small couch in the corner, and they both smile.
"S-sorry," Jack giggles, "it was cute watching you play with your cat."
Hiccup blushes and looks away. They little clock chimes at 10pm.
"Time for bed." Hiccup sighs and changes into some pajamas. Jack also changes into some clothes that Hiccup let him borrow.

For the last few weeks Jack has been sleeping on the small couch, and he was totally fine with it. Shyly, Hiccup crawled into his bed while Jack got comfortable on the couch.
"Uh- um.. Jack?" Hiccup mumbles."
"Mm?"
"I'm.. Uh.. Kind of cold."
"Oh? Want me to get you a blanket?"
"N-no, but can you- uh - come here?"
It was almost like Jack's face has turned into a tomato, because it was certainly that color.
"Oh! Uh sure," he replies and walks to
Hiccup's bed.
