Chapter 34:
"Dear Lord, thank you for the food we are about to consume and thank you all for us all being healthy and happy all in one home. Thank you for our successes teaching us your glory and for our down falls teaching us your lessons. Dear God, thank you for family, for friends, and for loved ones," he said squeezing my hand. "Thank you for having us all together and thank you for Bobby, for her getting the opportunity to spend this thankful holiday with us Schmidts. Thank you for the blissful moments and thank you for the rock and a hard place moments. In name of Jesus Christ, amen." He finished. Everyone congratulated him on a wonderful speech as the line for food was being created. Kendall and I stayed near the back as I started to feel faint and my arm started to hurt.
"You okay babe?" Kendall asked.
"Yeah totally fine." I said smiling.
"Did you bring your other pills?" Kendall asked. I nodded.
"In my purse." I told him. He nodded and kissed my cheek.
"I'll get them." He smiled. He was soon back by my side with my evening pills suppose to be taken with food. I shoved them in my pocket and leaned on Kendall as his arm draped around my torso. Eventually we made it through the line and ate our food, and I took my pills. Eventually, the people with young children were going home, and the elderly were going to bed. It left Kevin, Kenneth, Kendall, Kathy, and me in the living room cleaning up after the mess everyone had made. I was quite tired now as the Vicodin made me woozy.
"Kendall," I started. He stood up straight from bending over and picking up trash off the fire place. "I don't feel so good." I mumbled to him. He nodded walking over. He clenched his jaw and took the trash out of my hands.
"Go get in the car with your necklace and purse, and wait." He said kissing my forehead. "I'll be out in a minute or two." He then started working faster. I slowly grabbed my coat and his keys already having the other two items in hand, and headed down the drive way. In a matter if seconds in the car Kendall was out and we were off down the road to the hotel. We got to the room and I basically passed out in the bed. Kendall woke me up though and had me change into pjs, and clean off my makeup.
"There you go beautiful." Kendall said tucking me in next to him.
"Thank you. I love you." I said touching his cheek with my hand softly.
"I love you too baby. Get some sleep." He said Laying his arm over me falling asleep just as fast and me.
