Chapter 40:
A couple weeks past and we've seen Kendall's family two times since Thanksgiving. Scott and Heathers wedding is scheduled on New Years Day, and I'm oddly the maid of honor for Heather as her two sisters are brides maids, and Kendall the best man of Scott's as Logan and Dustin were volunteered by Kendall to be grooms men. Although the wedding is a week and a half away, I can't help but feel overwhelmed myself by all the things not getting done. We were currently over at Scott and Heather's house as we tried to help as much as possible. This wedding came up fast, but they didn't seem to want to wait. Heather ordered her dress from Milan and I actually thought it was beautiful.
"We still have to get tuxes, your maid of honor dress which is different than the two brides maids dresses. We have invitations mailed out but only about eighty-five out of one hundred and sixteen people RSVP, so that means there isn't everyone coming to my big day!" Heather said sounding like she was having a heart attack. She was in sweats and her hair up in a bun as I sat at their kitchen table with her.
"Girl calm down... Damn." I said a bit annoyed since she had been a little bit of a bridezilla previous to today when all she's been today is a big mess. Their wedding was going to be on Venice beach close to where they first met, and exactly where Kendall and I met. We called and made an appointment with the dress shop tomorrow for my dress hunt and all the guys' suit fittings since we just gave their measurements and they'd put the pieces together for white tuxes. Heather's theme was bubblegum princess which made me worry since I'd be the maid of honor and she'd want me to wear pink... And heels. I would refuse tomorrow and potentially get kicked out of the wedding, but I figured that'd be her problem to solve tomorrow.
"I think we've done everything we can tonight. I think we have everything done, aside from clothing. Okay, I can breathe now." Heather said throwing her pen and phone down on the table and leaning back in her chair.
"There's my friend Heather again, not that psycho!" I smirked giggling. She rolled her eyes smiling as she got up and walked over to the pot of coffee on the counter, filling up her cup.
"Thanks for helping me plan while your boyfriend and my fiancé leave us to do whatever." She smiled taking a sip making her way back to the table. I nodded.
"No problem, just know I expect my make up to look gorgeous on your day!" I smiled at her joking. We talked awhile before Kendall and Scott walked into the room from being wherever.
"Hey babe!" Kendall said all sweaty kissing my cheek.
"Hey!" I said.
"Where have you been?" Heather asked Scott as he kissed the top of her head standing behind her with his hands on her shoulders. Kendall stood to my side with his hand on one of my shoulders.
"Nowhere." Scott said obviously lying.
"Kendall where were you?" I interrogated him. I looked up at him as he buckled under my gaze.
"Strip club then the basketball court, don't be mad. It was his bachelor party, James, Carlos, Logan, and Dustin all made him and Me go. It wasn't my idea, and then we kinda all beat the shit out of each other playing basketball!!" He said really really fast. I smirked at him and looked at Heather who's mouth was gaping.
"Why didn't you just tell me?!" She said standing and scoffing in Scott's face as she then walked over to their bedroom door and slammed it shut.
"Wow...." I murmured. Kendall squeezed my shoulder and then asked if I was ready to go. I nodded and smiled at him. Scott stood where he had when Heather yelled at him and smiled weakly as I got up.
"Cheer up Scotty, you should've just told her." I said smiling hugging and then walking out the front door with Kendall.
