Chapter 53:

After breakfast we didn't do much but talk or watch movies. But there was six presents under the tree again. "What are those?" Kenneth asked. Kathy and Kent sat down next to each other on the couch as Kendall and I took the love seat again. Kathy then had a smile on her face.

"Why don't you look at the names and tell us?" Kent said smiling as well. Kenneth picked one up.

"To Kevin, from Santa." Kenneth smirked and laughed looking at his parents. Kevin laughed from his chair and reached for the present. He opened it and got a new iPad mini.

"Oh my gosh. Thanks 'Santa'!" Kevin got up and hugged his parents. "Thank Santa." Kathy winked. Kenneth grabbed the next one.

"To Kathy, from Santa." He handed Kathy the next one as she nudged her husband and laughed. She opened it to see a beautiful diamond necklace with had one small diamond, connected to a medium one, and then a huge one. The card with it says that the smallest diamond represents their past together, the medium represents the present together, and the biggest one represents their future together.

"Awe!" I shrieked after she read it. She turned to her husband and kissed him sweetly.

"Alright, this ones to me." Kenneth said opening it and gaping at the laptop where it can fold into a tablet, he jumped and hugged Kathy and Kent. "Thanks mom and dad!" He said smiling. "This one is for Kent from Santa." He said handing the next present to his dad.Kent opened it to see a new fancy razor kit with some stuff I didn't know what it meant. He hugged his wife knowing she was the one to buy it.

"Alright next one, I wonder who's it is!" Kenneth smiled at Kendall and I. "Kendall this is from Santa." Kenneth joked pushing the biggest present closer to him. Kendall let go of my hand enough to open it. A brand new acoustic guitar with some fancy music stuff I didn't quite catch the name of.

"Oh my gosh, this is what I've wanted for awhile! Oh my gosh, thanks mom and dad!" He said standing up to go hug his parents. The next present was mine obviously, I sighed as Kenneth brought it to me. I slowly opened it, nervous that they have spent way too much on me like they had for their own children.

In the box, there were three things. The first and biggest, was a big black purse, which had the famous 'CC' in gold on it. It was retro, I knew that for sure, but I had never seen or heard of this specific bag. "That is a Chanel Classic Black Quilted Lambskin Vintage Hobo Tote Purse." Kathy informed me as I stared straight at it. This had to be the most expensive thing I owned. They spent way too much on me, but I was afraid of parting with it now. The other two items were a designer iPhone case, which had a day of the dead skull on it in one corner and studs in the other on a baby pink background, and a scented candle called 'Roberta Beauty'. I laughed at the name as I stood up setting the things aside with tears in my eyes and walked over to hug Kathy and Kent.

"Thank you. Thank you so much. This is the best Christmas, or holiday for that matter, of my life. Thank you so much." I told them wiping away the tears that had fallen after I hugged them. They both smiled at me and welcomed me. This was my first sense of family in awhile. Even when my family was alive I never had this much of an emotional attachment to them like I did to Kendall's family.
