Chapter 64:

We got home, both of us still in a daze of what we just experienced in the car ride home. "I have a headache." I said flopping down on the couch after changing into my pajamas as Kendall walked out of his room also in his sweats as well.

"Need anything?" He asked at the fridge. I nodded. Kendall brought me aspirin and a water as I smiled up at him.

"You're the best!" I told him as I opened the water. The doorbell rang making me jump a little after hearing the ghost could find out anything about me. Kendall opened the door to reveal two smiling faces.

"Hey engaged couple!" Dustin exclaimed. I giggled as his yelling made my head throb.

"Hey!" Kendall said bro-hugging his friends as they sat their presents on the kitchen counter. I laid on the couch not caring to move. Logan looked at me and tilted his head.

"You okay?" He asked. I nodded holding my arms up for a hug which he walked over and gave me one as I stayed lying down. He then grabbed my hand and looked at my hand. "It fits like a glove darlin'. Congratulations." Logan winked at me kissing my cheek. Dustin was next, although he didn't hug me.

"Wow, you spent a lot on that rock Kendall..." Dustin teased.

"She's worth it." Kendall smiled moving my legs then tucking himself under them. Logan sat in the arm chair, as Dustin sat in the smaller couch. I sighed.

"So Dustin, Bobby's dad contacted her..." Kendall informed him, as he nodded.

"Logan told me on the way up." Dustin said.

"We have plans for tomorrow for lunch." I told both our friends

"You're not going to meet him tomorrow though." Kendall said. I rolled my eyes, he was the one to tell me I needed to call him and meet him, and now that this ghost has something to do with my father he says no. I wasn't expecting what had happened before. I wasn't going to cancel on my father. I wasn't going to just sit around while I waited for someone to be ready to escort me to meet my own father.

"Kendall, I think I should go." I told him sitting up but not moving my legs. He had a shocked look on his face.

"Yeah Kendall, you shouldn't make her decisions for her. She's a grown woman." Dustin pipped in. I smiled weakly at him.

"She is your fiancé, not your daughter." Logan snickered. Kendall glared at Logan, then looked back at me.

"I just want you safe! I don't like knowing that that bastard may be out there doing who knows what to some other woman, then you go and meet up with someone directly in contact with him." Kendall told me.

"Kendall, you're the one who told me you didn't want me to miss out on anything in life. This very well may be what I may lose out on if I don't take action now." I whispered to him grabbing his arm. He sighed rubbing his forehead.

"Fine. But you'll call me before you go, text me when you get there, text me when you're about to leave, and call me when you're in the car, and yes; you'll have to get up, take me to work so you have the car, I'm not having you walk tomorrow." Kendall told me. I sighed.

"You're so lucky I love you." I teased.
