Chapter 84:
I got Kendall and mines usuals at the coffee shop and drove off. "I think we need to get you a car too." Kendall said cooly as if it weren't a big deal. I scoffed setting my coffee down. My dad chuckled amused by us in the back seat.
"No! Knowing you, you'll by me a BMW or Lamborghini or something expensive! I don't want to waste money." I told him seriously. He sighed smiling.
"Never said I'd buy you a fancy BMW like mine. Maybe we'd start you out slow and buy you, I don't know, an Eco friendly car... Similar to my beautiful Hybrid 3 here." Kendall said rubbing the dash of the car. My dad laughed.
"She needs a real car! Get her a Chevy!" He said his southern twang coming out a little more than usual. I sighed. Men and their cars...
We got to the boardwalk at a quarter to one in the afternoon. Logan and Dustin's cars were parked next to one another as we waited for Heather, Scott, Halston, James, Carlos, and Alexa. Kendall said he didn't know who to invite, so he invited to whole crew. Great. It's not that I had anything against Alexa, Carlos, James, or Halston, well I had a problem with Halston making fun of me before, but I just didn't know what to say to them. They weren't considered my friends unfortunately. We all got out and smiled at one another. Logan was the only one to hug me. "How ya feelin darlin?" He asked me his twang coming out for this question. This was the first time I've seen anyone since the night I freaked out Heather. I smiled weakly and shrugged. He nodded in response. Moments later Carlos and Alexa were pulling up.
"Wazzzzaaaa everybody?!" Carlos said getting out of the car. Alexa was soon by his side as they walked towards us. Everyone greeted one another as Alexa looked at me with pitiful eyes.
"I'm happy to see you out and about." She told me with a smile. I smiled back weakly in wondering why everyone kept bringing up something that happened and I had no control over. Soon James and Halston pulled up and were doing the same exact thing as Carlos and Alexa.
"I heard what happened. I'm so sorry for your loss." Halston said most likely trying to be nice. I smiled and nodded holding onto Kendall's hand with a tight death grip. She turned and started towards Carlos and Alexa when Scott and Heather pulled up. Now is when I'd have to swallow my pride and move on, apologize for being a bitch.
