Chapter 2:

The four boys stared back and forth at Kendall and I as if I were an alien from another planet and Kendall was a human who could speak my home planet's language. "How do you know her?" A short Latino asked. I giggled at how they all wore semi matching clothing, all in the size 'sch-medium'. A tall dark haired guy with a handle bar mustache touched Kendall's shoulder asking him something in his ear. Kendall nodded.

"Guys, be polite. She is a girl." The mustached man said. I curtsied trying to be cute, but didn't get much back out of these boys. Kendall smirked however and that was enough for me.

"Tough crowd." I mumbled. I bounced the ball once as the tall brunette boy tried to take it from me. "Hey!" I said holding it between my hip and arm again sticking out my other hand pointing at him. "Where are your manners?" I asked him. He shrugged. Kendall then walked over and bowed to me making me giggle. He was definitely a gentleman or just a huge flirt.

"Miss Bobby, may we please have the rock of baskets back?" He asked in a British accent. I curtsied once again, handing the basketball back to him as he kept a hold of my hand. His green beautiful eyes stared back up at me before laying his lips on the back of my hand. I let a smile creep on my lips before he threw the ball towards the other guys. He was now standing up right and smiling down at my shorter self. He let my hand go and I secretly wished he hadn't.

"What are you doing in LA? At Venice Beach? Ten feet away from where my friends and I are playing basketball?" Kendall asked adding more questions than a normal person.

"Ah, ya know, sun bathing in long clothing. The normal things girls my age do." I teased gesturing towards my apparel. He chuckled and looked back into my eyes. "I'm actually here in LA because of my friend, uh, Scott actually. He was the guy driving the car the first time we had an encounter." I told him. He nodded intending for me to go on. "He's looking for his celebrity crush who constantly tweets him back on a daily basis. He thinks she's in love with him. Ya know, big Hollywood starlet in love with a small town boy from thousands of miles away whom she has never met..." I mumbled the last sentence. Kendall laughed and nodded, shoving his hands down his basketball shorts pockets.

"Well good luck with that. Are you just tagging along or are you looking for someone as well? You didn't answer my questions about Venice beach and the distance though." He reminded me smiling and raising his eyebrows. Just then the basketball hit me in the head once more on the opposite side as before, making me lose balance in the sand. I laid in the sand for a moment regaining the air in my lungs that had just been knocked out. I saw blue sky, but soon all I saw was Kendall's face. "Oh my gosh, are you okay?" Kendall asked touching my shoulder. I nodded and sat up feeling a bump on my head about to form. The other guys had created a standing circle around me, the tall brunette one holding the ball. I quickly stood up, anger driven, and grabbed it chucking it towards the ocean, it kept rolling as he went chasing after it.

"Hey!" The other three guys exclaimed.

"Guys!" Kendall hissed. I rolled my eyes and started walking back towards the hotel, pushing through the Latino and short dark haired guy. Kendall was soon to follow me. "I'm sorry about the guys, they get really into a game and if they get interrupted by anything, then they have a fit." He said trying to keep up with me. We reached the parking lot of the hotel when I stopped walking and turned to Kendall.

"It's okay. I'm fine. Thanks for being the only gentleman in a group of jackasses." I smiled at him. I didn't mean to offend him, but I think I did.

"No, you don't understand, the guys are great. You should come hang out with us while you're here in LA. We won't play sports with you, so you won't have to go to the ER every thirty minutes." He smiled. I smiled weakly, but shook my head.

"Thanks, but no thanks. That's really sweet for offering though." I said about to walk away again. The sun was making the sky warmer as I was beginning to warm up in my hoodie. He grabbed my arm before letting me go again.

"At least give me your number, so I have a way to know if you need to go to the hospital for brain damage. Then you can send the Bill to James, the one who's free throws are constantly whacking you upside the head." He said smiling down at me. Damn, that smile got me every time. I sighed and said my number quickly. He was taken back, and reached into his pocket before I could say anything. "Say that again?" He chuckled looking at me through his lashes.
