Chapter 87:

Another week passed, and it was how the appointment for Kendall and I to get tattoos. We decided on location and the script easily. My dad had tried to talk me out of another tattoo but he couldn't. He did however come to the appointment seeming he's never seen a tattoo being given. Kendall and I explained the names to the men who were going to be giving the tattoos and they both have their condolences. Soon we were in the chairs and my dad was in one as well but no needle was attacking his skin. Kendall and I locked eyes every so often and would smile. We soon were finished considering they weren't complex tattoos. We both stood up with our looking in the mirror and soon saw the works of art in our skin.

"'Annabelle' and 'Asher' are now forever near and dear to our hearts." Kendall whispered. We both got our tattoos over our left breasts. Mine had Annabelle in a more cursive type, with three small stars next to her name. Then underneath hers was Asher with a more printed type with a small sliver of the moon. They were as my mother had used to tell me, their beauty could now out shine all the stars and the moon, so I thought it was fitting for them to be represented in such a meaningful way. Kendall's lettering was the same, although next to Annabelle there were very small intricate lilies since Kendall thought 'she would've been as beautiful as a lily, a true beauty compared to the rest of the flowers' or girls. Then he had Asher underneath her name as well but his had music notes projecting from it, 'because he would've been musically gifted like his father'. I smiled at this picture in the mirror. We were a family. No matter if future children were added to our family later or not, but I knew that in spirit, our babies were close to us. Close to our hearts.
