Chapter 96:
My birthday was amazing. We went out to lunch, and had a great time at the pier afterwards. Marilee and Logan had gotten pretty close, and I don't think my father liked that. I sighed as he tried telling her on the way home to not worry about boys and to not focus on them right now. Kendall however was ecstatic that Logan and Marilee were kind of a thing. "Will, I know she's younger and Logan will be twenty four soon, but he's a great guy. A complete gentleman huh Boo?" Kendall asked tapping me on the arm since I was the one driving. I sighed, I really didn't want to get in the middle of this conversation.
"I understand where your both coming from, trust me I do. Dad I know why you're worried, he's an actor, singer, and will be away for a long time in the next couple of months, I know. He is older by like seven years, but he is my best friend. I know him better than anyone. Kendall, he's your friend too, and I know you'd like for Logan to be happy and your soon to be sister in law to be happy as well. But I'm caught imbetween so please, let's talk about this another day, not on my birthday?!" I asked annoyed. The car went silent as I drove the headlights leading the way with Dustin driving behind us and Logan riding with him. Soon we were back at the apartment and I threw the car in park and got out of the car. I walked up to the sidewalk and waiting for everyone who rode in my car to be infront of me.
"Look, I know dad, I know. I was worried dating Kendall at first, but his and mines timing was different I'll give you that. He wasn't on tour, and he was only two years older than me. Kendall, I have to say I'm worried for Marilee if she gets too caught up in this that she'll end up broken because y'all are leaving next month for your Summer Break Tour, and I don't know how I'm going I handle that and you and I are committed!" I told him. I shrieked in frustration. Dustin and Logan got out of the car and made their way over to us.
"What's going on?" Dustin asked. Kendall shrugged and started towards the building obviously hurt or annoyed, with Dustin following shortly. Logan stood next to Marilee and my dad was eyeballing them and me at the same time.
"Marilee, come with me. Dad, Logan, you can go upstairs, I'm sure Kendall's pouting." I told them. Marilee watched as Logan turned to look at her before he followed our father. I sighed, they had feelings for one another.
"Why are we outside at like ten thirty? It's dark out here." Marilee told me her outfit seeming to glow. I crossed my arms across my chest.
"Do you honestly like Logan? Not as a fan, not as a rusher, and not as a normal teen who is starstruck by some famous person. Do you like Logan for Logan?" I blurted out. Marilee was taken aback and flipped her hair over her shoulder.
"Yes I like Logan. I love him." She told me sheepishly. I scoffed, rolling my eyes.
"Marilee! Answer me this, do you know Logan? Do you know anything besides what he's said in interviews, or in concerts, or twitter?" I exclaimed throwing my arms out by my sides. She nodded angry. "I do! I know him better than you do!" She yelled at me. I laughed humorlessly.
"No, you don't. He's my best friend. He's been there through everything with me and I've been there in return!" I yelled at her. "I know you're my sister, but if you are wanting this to happen, you and Logan, you better get to know him and be a friend first. None of this straight into a relationship bullshit. This isn't a fanfiction you're fantasizing about! This is real life. You get to know Logan, Then I'll help you win over dad on this whole thing. Got it?" I screamed at her. She made a noise of frustration.
"Fine! God!" She shrieked. Marilee stepped up on the sidewalk and walked past me. She walked for awhile as I watched then she turned around looking selfish. "And thank you." She called walking upstairs. I nodded even though she was gone. I was protective of both Marilee and Logan. I didn't want either hurt.
I started walking upstairs and ran into Kendall coming down to probably come find me. "Hey..." I said a few steps down from him. He nodded and shoved his hands in his pockets. "I chose your side I hope you know." I told him taking a hesitant step up towards him. He gave me his questioning look. "I will help and support her and Logan if she actually gets to know him. I know she thinks she knows him, but she's just a fan. I'll convince my dad if she and Logan are friends for awhile, maybe while y'all are on tour." I explained awkwardly since he hadn't answered or said anything. Kendall nodded. He wasn't saying anything! "Kendall, I'm sorry I didn't agree with you. I'm sorry okay?" I said not knowing what else to do. He nodded and walked down the two steps between us where he was one above mine.
"I'm sorry you have to be between me and your dad." He whispered kissing my forehead.
