Chapter 27:
I woke up to Scott gently shaking my torso. "Come on little girl, no napping when you're suppose to be eating." He smiled at me. He helped me up to the table when I remembered I probably looked horrific.
"Uh I think I'll go to the little girls room first." I smiled at him. He moved his hands away from me and held them up in surrender.
"I'm not helping with that." He said to everyone whom was set around at the bar and the kitchen table.
"I have to get use to walking on my own anyway, ill be fine after I eat anyway." I said smiling at everyone. I slowly walked, focusing on walking ignoring the migraine on the top of my head, and finally made it to my bedroom. I shut the door and walked into my bathroom feeling relieved to be in the safety of Kendall and mines home. I was horrid. My false eyelashes had fallen off prior to this encounter with the mirror, my makeup was all almost off aside from the dark smears under my eyes, my hair was tangled on the hair line I could see the knife womb, my eyes didn't look bad aside from one being a bit puffier than the other and a darker yellow tone. Other than that I couldn't tell a difference in what everyone was raving about. My bottom lip had always been bigger than my top one, and I couldn't tell how everyone thought it was busted.
I quickly cleaned my face off with my good hand. I felt a cool breeze on my face as I moisturized my face. I quickly got a spray bottle and wet down my hair. I couldn't do this without ripping my hair or stitches out. "Hey, Heather?!" I finally broke down and called for her. I heard her little petite frame making her way down the hallway as I quietly waited. She knocked on the door and opened it. She then was in the doorway. "Can I get some help?" I asked sweetly. She nodded smiling. She brought in a chair and washed my hair in the sink, she cleaned off the blood from my cut gently, and she helped me change into the Choose 180 sweatshirt, then put my sling back on. She then Dutch braided my hair down the back that came down the side to my chest. She then put on my make up.
"You know I'm actually a makeup artist right?" She asked. I shook my head. "Yeah, I did Kendall's makeup back when he was doing shows like Without A Trace. I was just an intern then, but now I'm opening up my own company." She smiled at me, brushing on some eyeshadow into my crease.
"Wow, that was awhile ago... Why didn't you go after Kendall?" I asked curiously. She shrugged.
"He was sweet, but he and I had a friendship as strong as yours and Scott's, didn't want to ruin anything." She smiled really concentrating on what she was doing.
Before I had pinned her as a bimbo, but she was actually a real person. She was sweet and she cared about Scott which made it all the better. Just then as she finished, she helped me up as a knock on the door startled me. She giggled. "Hold on! Go back to the living room whoever you are! We'll be out in a minute!" She called out. She and I walked to the door, her in the lead as she opened the door to peek to see if anyone was there. "Coast is clear, lets go show off my masterpiece!" She giggled. We walked out to the living room, me as independent as I could as she cleared her voice standing in front of me. Scott was in the kitchen and the rest were at the table. "Excuse boys! But look at the new practice face of Heather Jane cosmetics!" She said stepping aside.
Kendall's straight face had turned into a toothy grin. "Sexy!" Kendall teased standing up and walking towards me. He leaned down and kissed me. I giggled and went to wrap my arms around him, but was left from pain. "Your arm can't handle that you dork." Kendall teased me. "You do look really beautiful babe." He whispered in my ear and brushed his lips against my cheek.
"You're a tease!" I said smacking his arm with my good hand. He stuck out his tongue as I did it back.
"You're so cute together... Yes we understand... Can we eat yet?" Dustin joked. We all laughed and sat down for my welcome home dinner.
