Chapter 103:
Breakfast went over fine, and the ride home was silent. We stopped by Heather's place to see Scott getting ready. He had his usual spiky hair, but he had a distant look in his eyes. I didn't understand, until I knew what he had done. "Hey Scott can I speak with you for a second alone?" I asked him standing up from the couch I shared with my dad and Tawny. He nodded and stood up. He hadn't said a word the whole time we were here, but I knew what he was trying to hide. We walked into his bedroom shared with his wife and I glared at him as he closed the door.
"What's the look for?" He asked me as if he didn't think I wouldn't have known what he had done this morning, or maybe even last night. I scoffed and looked around the room when I saw a little box next to his bedside. I started towards it when I was thrown onto the bed. "Scott!" I said looking at my feet to see him angry. I started towards the box and this time I beat him to it. He tried grabbing it from me. His arms flailing around me as I kept the box in my hand. I opened it once I was far enough away from him and sure enough a little plastic Baggie with a white substance was inside.
I grabbed it and held it up for him to see. "What the hell dude?" I asked him. He tried grabbing it as I smacked his face with my free hand. "Do we really need to do this on my wedding day? When you're freaking married?! And going to be a father?! One month. One month Scott and you'll be getting high as your wife goes into labor and has to drive herself to the hospital because your dumbass is too high to drive her yourself. Is that what you want you idiot?!" I yelled at him. I heard the other room quiet as they heard me yelling. Scott reached for the bag determined this time pulling on my arm and squeezing it numb. I almost lost feeling in it but when I doubled my fist and hit him, I could feel him release his grip.
"That's not what I want!" He yelled back at me.
"What do you want then Scott?! To be distant?! To not be living your life like a normal person?! Huh? Is that what you want?!" I yelled at him. I noticed the bathroom door ajar as I sprinted towards it past Scott. I ran to it slamming the door shut, locking it behind me and turning on the sink like I had done many times before.
I slowly poured little by little into the sink as Scott's fists pounded at the door. "Bobby! You son of a bitch! Give it back to me!" He cussed at me.
"No!" I yelled at him. He had never cursed at me like this before. It must've been getting worse and all I wanted to know is if Heather knew. God, I hope she knew and didn't know what to do about it, over her not knowing her husband was doing coke. I hoped...
