"Mother, can we speak in private?" I asked when everyone was finished.

She nodded and she lead me to the kitchen.

I sat at the island and she stood by the sink.

"What's wrong, Michael?" She asked softly.

"Are you okay with me marrying Nicole?" I asked.

She turned around slowly and walked towards me.

"Michael, I wouldn't recommend it, but I know you are old enough to make your own decisions." She said.

"I was wondering because I have to now." I said lowly.

She knitted her eyebrows. "Have to?"

"We're having another baby, surprise! That's four from me." I said with fake enthusiasm.

"Michael, why aren't you using protection?" She asked.

I never would've thought I'll have to tell my mother about my condition.

Yes, she doesn't know I have a low sperm count and I wasn't planning on telling her either.

"Because it's very rare that I would've gotten her pregnant again." I said and folded my hands.

"Why is that?" She asked.

"I have a low sperm count." I said and she cooed.

"Michael baby, why didn't you tell me earlier?" She questioned and hugged me.

I hugged her back and sighed.

"It was a secret. Tatiana and Nicole knew and now you know." I said.

"I'm sorry you have it, but she's using you." Mother said and went to the sink.

"She isn't using me."

"So Tatiana, your wife, has to have her child grow up without you being there full time, while Nicole gets to have it?"

"We agreed on this."

"I don't care, she is your wife." Mother said and frowned at me.

"Ex-wife. We'll give you the wedding date and when the baby is born." I said and got up.

"You're going to keep me away from my grandchildren?"

"I'm not, but Nicole might."

I walked out and didn't look back.

I went to join Nicole, who was sitting with my sisters, in the living room.
