Michael

I have been out of the hospital for two days and I feel a lot better.

Chad was arrested and charged for multiple things, so we won't be hearing from him in long time.

"Baby?" Nicole asked, walking up behind me.

"Yes?"

"What if I don't like the new house?" She asked.

I turned and faced her.

She wrapped her arms around my waist and looked up at me.

"Nic, you will. Plus, it's in a safer community and closer to work." I said.

"But we'll have to start paying for daycare." She said.

"We can hire someone new in the neighborhood." I suggested.

She shook her head and sat down. I sat next to her.

"I don't trust everyone near my babies." She said.

"I know and don't worry. I got all this under control." I said and smiled.

She scoffed and got up. "Are you ready to go?"

I looked around the empty room and nodded. I grabbed her hand and we began walking.

We went to go get our children and got in the car.

While I was driving to the house, I noticed Nicole was a little jittery.

"You okay?"

"Yes, I'm finally happy. I have my future husband, our kids, and now we're living together. It'll be complete when we get a dog."

"No." I disagreed. "I don't like little dogs."

"We could get a cat, even though I don't like them." She said.

"No, Nicole."

She frowned. "I'm getting one like it or not, baby."

I knew there was no point in arguing and I also knew I would be the one buying the dog or cat.

"I love you, Michael."

"I love you, too, Nicole."

I pulled up to the house and we got the kids out.

Nicole was holding Junior and she was looking at the house in awe.

"I tried my best by making it how you dreamt." I said and looked down.

"Michael, it's perfect." She said and smiled.

"Well, welcome to the new Jackson Residence." I said.

We joined in a group hug.

When my divorce is final, I can't wait to start my new life.
