"Where are we going, anyway?" you asked.

"To a nearby clearing I saw not too long ago. For this to happen, we need a massive space that is a great distance away from humans, so we won't cause anymore trouble than needed," Vivalgia explained.

"How will this work, exactly?"

Hikari craned her neck to look at you, "For this to happen, a sacrifice is needed-"

"WHAT!?"

Hikari glared at you, making you shut up. She then continued, "Somebody must be willing to give up half of their soul for the resurrected one to be able to live at all. When you die, your soul is taken away, naturally, you need a new soul to be able to walk the earth once more. Once the soul is given to the resurrected one, the process is complete."

You stared at her, "There's a catch right?"

Hikari nodded, "Since both the resurrected one and the one who sacrificed their soul only end up with half a soul at the end of the...process, their bodies would become incredibly weak. All it would take is a fatal blow and...it's over."

"For this process, Hikari will give up half of her soul, while I will be the one to resurrect. Afterwards, we will track down Crimson Reaper and dispose of him as soon as possible," Vivalgia said.

"Oh."

The two dragons had landed in a massive clearing, afterwards, Vivalgia muttered something, making a large magic circle appear under her. She nodded at Hikari who willed a magic circle identical to Vivalgia's to appear under her. The two dragons then looked into each other's eyes.

"Skin and bones, ashes and stones...come together to watch Him rise again,

Fire and ice, earth and sky...come together to watch Him rise again,

Dragon and human, wizard and beast...come together to watch Him rise again,

Death and life, dark and light...form a line to watch and see."

A smaller magic circle then appeared on Hikari's chest and a glowing orb then exited the said dragon's chest, making the dragon cry out in pain. She let out a pained grunt as both of them continued.

"Skin and bones, ashes and stones...join hands and rejoice for He is alive again,

Fire and ice, earth and sky...join hands and rejoice for He is alive again,

Dragon and human, wizard and beast...join hands and rejoice for He is alive again,

Death and life, dark and light...stand back as they dance with glee."

The glowing orb then floated towards Vivalgia and pressed against her chest, then, Vivalgia's body began glowing gold, Hikari's body doing the same afterwards. The golden orb then passed through her chest, causing her scales to turn a more brighter shade of purple.

The brighter and more lively colors caused Vivalgia to look even more stunning. The two dragons slammed their eyes shut and continued.

"Skin and bones, ashes and stones...pray that He shall not die again,

Fire and ice, earth and sky...pray that He shall not die again,

Dragon and human, wizard and beast...pray that He shall not die again,

Death and life, dark and light...take their leave for the task is complete."

The two magic circles dimmed before they disappeared altogether. Hikari plopped down on the ground and took deep breaths while Vivalgia (now extremely sparkly and even more crystal-esque) walked towards Hikari. The several crystals on her body shimmered in the sunlight as she lowered her head to nudge Hikari's gently.

"Are you alright?" Vivalgia asked.

Hikari nodded, "What's done is done. Even if I wanted half of my soul back, I can't have it. It's with you now, and I'm no divine being, I can't get it back."

Vivalgia stared at Hikari before looking at you, "We'll track Crimson Reaper down tomorrow. This..process has affected Hikari far too much. We'll rest for now."

Hikari was fast asleep while Vivalgia was lying beside her, watching the dragon as she took each and every breath. You leaned against Hikari, staring at her as well.

"Will she be okay?" you asked.

Vivalgia nodded, "As long as she gets enough rest, she'll be fine."

"You have half a soul too, right? So why is Hikari the only one affected? Isn't this like...supposed to make both of you weak?" you questioned.

"I got half a soul, Hikari lost half a soul. There's a great difference," Vivalgia said, "oh yeah, you better go tell Sting about what you're going to do. Chances are, you won't get another chance like this in a bit."

"Okay."

"Can you manage?" Vivalgia asked.

You nodded, "I promise I'll be back before the sun rises."

After leaving a letter back at your place, you had quickly traveled back to the clearing where both Vivalgi and Hikari were fast asleep. You lied down against Hikari's massive shoulder before you eventually fell asleep yourself.

'That was the Lullaby of Resurrection...

...I wonder what the Lullaby of Oblivion is.'
