CHAPTER 8 - GIFT

CHAERIN'S POV

D-Day

Today's the day where me and Jiyong are going to meet the investors. I'm slightly shaking due to nervousness. This is the first time I'm doing this so don't blame me.

I suddenly felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked at the owner and met Jiyong's eyes.

"Singyeongjiljeokjima (Don't be nervous). Everything will work out fine." He assured me. I just nodded.

Me and Jiyong, I can say that we're in good terms now. After the night of the incident, my perspective of him changed. I slowly become nice to him which he also is to me. I can call ourselves now as friends.

We entered the meeting hall. Jiyong gestured me to come in first. I saw the investors and Mr. Park already sitting there. Jiyong went to my side and introduced us.

The meeting ended. We presented our proposal as we planned and it ended successfully. We closed the deal! Woohooo!!!

We shook hands with everybody then after that, the investors left. The moment they closed the door. I cheered my lungs out and jumped in happiness.

Jiyong joined my little celebration holding my hands and we jumped around. Mr. Park just looks at us, smiling. Then suddenly, he hugged me.

I froze at my spot. I was so shocked by his sudden action that I didn't know what to do. After a while, I got back to my senses and hugged him back.

After some time, we pulled away. I looked at him and I can see his cheeks are turning pink. I quickly turn away because I can feel my cheeks getting hot.

"You did great! Congratulations! You both are the company's leaders. C'mon, let's celebrate this important day. My treat. I'll call the others." Good thing Mr. Park spoke. It slightly make the atmosphere more comfortable.

"Woohoo~~!" We cheered.

Mr. Park left us to tell the others about the good news. Me and Jiyong remained to pack up the materials we used for our presentation.

"Hey~"

I stopped what I'm doing and looked at him. "Hm?"

"..."

"What?"

"Nothing."

I chuckled. "You're weird."

Mr. Park leads us to a fancy restaurant. Wow! He's so rich! He'll treat all of us in here? I can't imagine the price of the bill he'll pay later but oh well, he said he'll treat us and he chose this place, so might as well enjoy. Mr. Park told everyone why we are celebrating right now. They all cheered and congratulated us.
