Weeks have passed after our little vacation, our lives at work were back to normal.
As usual, me and Minji always went out together during lunch break. It's our usual routine now. Whenever we're together, I felt like my problems about work are completely gone. She's like a girl version of Youngbae. She recharges my energy which I needed the most because ever since Mr. Perfect came back from his business trip, bad vibes are always around me. His presence alone disturbs me. And saddest part is, his table is next to mine. Ugh!
"Unni! Have you heard?" Minji asked as we walk back to our tables.
"Heard about what?"
"Mr. Park's going to have a new major investor in our company."
"Jinjja?!" she nodded.
"Well, that's great!" I smiled at her.
"Excuse me..." we turned and looked at who said it.
"Oh! Jinwoo-ssi. Mwoya?"
"Mr. Park's calling for all of us."
Minji and I looked at each other, confused.
"This sudden? Are we in trouble?" I asked him bravely.
He just shrugged. "I also don't know. He just said it's an emergency meeting. We have to go now. He's already waiting for us." we just nodded and followed him to the meeting hall.
He opened the door for us and gestured us to enter first. We enter and saw everyone in our department already here.
"Great! I guess everybody's here?" Mr. Park's looking at Jinwoo, waiting for confirmation.
"Yes, sir."
"Well then, please take your seats now, girls. I'm about to start the meeting."
"Okay... I think some may already what's coming to our company, right? But for those who still don't, a major investor is interested to invest in our company and it's a chance we shouldn't let slip out of our hands. We need to do everything to close this deal and I can't do this alone, I need your help."
He started explaining his plans to us. We just nod at everything he says. Well, we can't disagree anyways. ㅋㅋㅋ
Our meeting lasted for almost an hour and a half. He called the meeting adjourned and one by one, everyone stood up and left the room.
"Uhmm... Chaerin-ssi."
I stopped my tracks and turned to him again. "Yes sir?"
"Can you please remain for a while? As well as you, Mr. Kwon."
I searched for him and I saw him already looking at me. "Of course, sir."
We both glared at each other, anger starts to rise. Ugh! Why with him again? I can't complain though, or else I'll get fired.
