Youngbae took me back to the office minutes after we finished eating.

"Thanks Bae. I enjoyed it and I kinda missed us hanging out."

"No worries, I really prepared for this all just for us. Just because you already have a boyfriend doesn't mean our friendship will end."

O.O

"Y-you k-knew?"

"Knew what? That you and Jiyong are together? Of course I do, Chae. I'm not blind especially not dumb."

"Okay.."

He kissed my forehead which is unusual for him to do. "Go in now. I have to be elsewhere."

"Ooh... busy huh?"

"Y-yeah.. sure."

I waved at him and he started to drove off. I made sure he's already out of my sight before I went inside.

"Babe!" Jiyong's voice suddenly bursted around the hallway. I turned around to see him jogging his way towards me. "Where have you been? I've looking for you for hours. You're not even answering your phone."

Shoot. I left my bag on my table.

"Uhhh.. I kinda left my bag on my table."

"Woah~ well that's a first. You never leave it anywhere unless it's something urgent. Is it?" He eyed me.

"N-no. It's just I was so hungry I forgot to take it with me." Suddenly, I felt scared of telling him where I really went.

"You already ate? Without me? I was going to take you to lunch. Guess I'll be eating alone today."

"Mian. If you want I'll still accompany you."

"You sure? I mean, what about your time here?"

"Mr. Park told me that from now on, I'll control my own schedule. Oh yeah, about that, I already gave him my resignation letter and he pleaded me to stay until the last project we're about to work on."

"Ah... well then, let's go. I'm starving."

-------------

Jiyong and I decided to go home after we had a meeting with Mr. Park about the project.

"Uh.. I'm going to the bathroom first. Wait for me outside, kay?" I nodded then he started walking off.

Walking towards his car at the parking lot was a complete silence.

"I've heard you're resigning."

Spoke too soon.

I turned around and saw the most disgusting human being I've ever known.

"Looks like you feel scared of your life, huh?"

I scoffed. "Me? Scared? Of what? You? Tsk. Never in your wildest dreams honey."

"Ooh~ tough girl there, I see. Well... let's find out where that bravery of yours can take you."

"Bring it on."

"I was just thinking... you resigning is a good thing in some way. You see, without you in the office means that I can do whatever I want to do with Jiyong because there's no bitch in the way."

"The only bitch here is you. And what makes you think Jiyong will comply to your demands, huh?"

"Hmmm.. I don't know. Who knows, maybe he still loves me and is only using you. Now that you're gone in our sight, we can now continue what we used to do before." She smirked.

"Let's see about that." I said with all the determination in me.

"Okay. I won't be staying here for too long because I can't take on looking at you for too long. I'm just giving you a heads up so you won't be crying when those happen. Ciao." She smiled then walked to her car.

"Whore." I muttered while leaning on Jiyong's car.

"Gaja!" Jiyong's voice suddenly became audible in the area.

"What took you so long?" Asking while arms crossed on my chest.

"Sorry. Jinwoo gave me some information about that project we're working on. I think I might have a long night tonight." He said in disappointment. "But don't worry, I'm still up for our plans" he pecked my lips then we both entered the car

At my house, he laid the papers Jinwoo gave him on the table as we sit on the couch. "Jinwoo said that this one is gonna be the biggest one the company ever made a deal with." He started out.

For more like an hour or so, he keeps on talking about the project but not a single one of it remained in my mind. My mind is elsewhere.

I grabbed his hand softly which earned me a confused look from him. "Ji... take it easy."

"Am I being too fast on explaining? I can repeat it again from the start if you want."

"No. That's not what I'm talking about." I took the papers in his hand and placed it on the table. "Can we just relax and empty our minds for this moment? I really can't concentrate on what you are saying."

He shifted his position to face me properly. "Is everything alright? Is there something bothering you."

"Uhh... not quite. I just don't want to think about work right now, that's all."

"Ohh.. okay." He placed my head on his shoulder. "You know what? You're right. Let's stay like this for awhile or maybe until we fall asleep." He kissed my temples and placed his head on top of mine. "Love you, Chae."

"Love you too, Ji."

Even though I know and can feel that everything Jiyong is doing to me is genuine and true, Dara's words earlier still lingers on my mind. I can't help it. Although Jiyong already cleared things up that he doesn't want any connection with her anymore, I'm still open to all the possibilities. Possibilities that they might made up and decided to start anew then sooner or later, become together again but this time, the feeling is mutual now which means I'll get left behind and get abandoned, leaving me all the pain and heartbreak, making me the big loser in the end.

But I know I can trust Jiyong. He already proven me a lot of times that he truly loves me and I know that there's no faking it.

"Why don't we just sleep in my room? The couch is quite uncomfortable for the two of us." I suggested since I really hate sleeping on the couch. I untangled myself from him even if I really don't want to then started to stand up.

"Thought you'll never ask."
