CHAPTER 54 - WILL YOU

CHAERIN'S POV

After seeing Jiyong behind Youngbae, it took me a few seconds to believe that he's really right before my eyes.

"Jiyong?" I mumbled while still staring at him who's staring back at me.

The next moment, I saw him starting to walk towards me and halt when he's close enough to look at me eye to eye.

He stared into my eyes for a few more seconds before I felt his warm hand holds mine and started walking away with me.

"Yah! What are you doing? I have to board now!"

He didn't respond and just continued walking towards the exit of the airport.

"Yah! Kwon Jiyong! Yah!!" I tried prying his hand away from mine but that only made him tighten his grip more.

So knowing that whatever I do won't work, I just looked back at Youngbae who's already a few meters behind me while I'm signaling him to help me but he just gave me a slight smile and a thumbs up. I groaned at Youngbae's behavior before looking back at Jiyong.

We arrived at the car park and he opened the door and signalled me to get in. When he entered the driver's seat, he started the engine right away and drove to I don't know where.

The atmosphere inside the car is so eerie quiet. I keep on shifting my eyes from the outside to him and vise versa.

The atmosphere stayed like that for a few more minutes before he started to talk when he felt that I was looking at him for quite a while now.

"Stop looking at me like that."

I didn't listen to him and continued to look at him.

"I said stop looking at m----"

"What are you doing? You're supposed to be at your wedding." I cut him off.

He heaved a sigh and kept quiet again.

"Answer me Jiyong." I said sternly.

"You're more important than that wedding."

What the--

"I don't get it."

"You know what I mean, Chaerin."

"Will I ask if I do?" I raiser my eyebrow at him.

"Pabo."

"What the-- well then just bring me back to the airport if this is all nonsense."

"No."

"What the fuck, Kwon Jiyong! What do you want?! My siblings are in there waiting for me."

"Youngbae can take care of them."

"What the-- now you even involved him in this? Are you insane?!"

I almost hit my head on the dashboard if I wasn't wearing my seatbelt because he suddenly hit the break without any warning.

"Yah! Are you trying to kill us both?" I looked at him, now getting more furious.

But...

There.. He stayed quietly and didn't say anything. I heard him sighed so I waited for him to talk.

"Mianhae." He mumbled.

"What?"

"I know everything now. Youngbae told me."

"W-wait.. What's going on? What did he tell you? What the hell are you talking about?"

"It was all a big lie. A big fucking lie. But I fell for it. I'm so sorry."

"What the fuck are you talking about Kwon Jiyong? If this is all about some nonsense talk then you better just go back to your wedding and talk to someone else after. Don't drag me into this. I'm not your girlfriend nor your wife."

"I'm not going anywhere."

I raised an eyebrow at him. "Yah! Look at you. You're getting married today. You already are in your suit. You can't just leave your wife there waiting. Are you insane?"

"Yes I am insane! I didn't know that all this time, I've been played. All this time, it's been a lie. All this time, it's been just a setup... And you know what else?" He paused and looked at me deep into my eyes, like he's waiting for me to answer.

But I didn't. And instead, I looked away.

He sighed again and continued. "And lastly.. All this time, it's still you."

"W-what?" I stuttered and looked at him again.

"Can't you still got the the hint, Chae? I still love you. Whatever I do, you're always in my mind. I keep on telling myself to forget you, to have a new life with another girl.. but I can't. My heart still comes back to you. You're asking me if I'm insane? Well then, yes I am. I'm insane. And that's because of you. I'm crazy for you, Chaerin. You're the only girl I love and I'll ever love."

"But what about Da----"

"Shush.. I don't care about them so you should too. I don't want to be around her or with anyone but you. I love you, Chae. I can't live without you. I didn't know what I'd do if Youngbae didn't talk to me. I guess I'll still be living in their lies." He cut me off then gave me warm smile.

"Jiyong...." I started off. But got cut off again by his lips connecting with mine slowly. I didn't know what to do at first because of all these revelations that welcomed me in a speed of light but I responded as soon as everything sink in.

After a few good seconds of a kiss I never thought I'll have again, he held my hands and looked at my eyes. "I wanna start a new life. But I want to do it with you. I want to forget everything that had happened here and create new memories like we're just newborn babies. If you're leaving for Japan then I'll come with you. I don't care wherever you want to be as long as you let me come with you then I'll be fine. What do you say?"

"Jiyong... I don't know. Your life is in here. Your job, your family and friends. You can't leave just like that." I told him the risks he'll have to do if he'll come with me. I know it'll make him hesitate to continue when I said that, but part of me hopes that he'll still go with me even with all those risks he has to put through.

"I can find a job easily. My friends especially my family will understand. No need to worry about those things. All you have to do is to tell me if you'll let me go with you or not."

"Jiyong... I don't know." I looked away and thought of pros and cons of him going with me.

"Chaerin... Please... I can't live without you. Let me go with you. I promise that I'll never ever do whatever I've done wrong to you. I just don't wanna lose you again. Not this time."

"Jiyong-ah.... I'm s-scared."

"Of what?"

"Everything. I just don't want to be involved with anything again. This is why I'm leaving in the first place."

"Chaerin.. I promised you that I won't let those happen again. We're going to start a new life, away from them. And I know we'll both be happy. So... will you let me?"

I looked down on the floor and slightly nodded.

"Omo. Thank you" he gave me a tight hug which I gave back."

"I love you so much, Chae, to let you go."

A smiled crept on my lips as I heard those words I long to hear again. "I love you too, Jiyong."

With that, he pulled away and leaned in for another kiss which I responded immediately.
