Rowan's POV

Days went on, which turned into 3 weeks of Mr. Hood being absent at school.

Class flew by really fast and so did the whole day.

I walked home alone in the rain.

Passing through multiple neighborhoods, I spotted a familiar face.

Mr. Hood.

I tried my best to walk past him as he was sitting on his porch.

"Rowan?" Mr. Hood said in a raspy voice.

I stopped dead in my tracks and turned around on my heels.

He looked quite pale. His sweat shirt and black jeans were perfectly hanging on his body.

"Feeling better?" I awkwardly asked,

"Yeah, much better." He said nodding his head.

I pursed my lips thinking of an excuse to leave.

"Would you like to come in?" Mr. Hood asked opening his front door.

"Yeah, it would be nice to get out of this rain." I laughed walking up his driveway.

I entered his warm house dripping wet all over his floor.

I put my stuff down on the floor letting my shoulder rest.

Mr. Hood gestured for me to come up stairs as he was standing on the first step.

I followed him up the stairs all the way to his room.

"Here, put these on. Your clothes are probably wet and cold." He said handing me sweats and a shirt.

"Thanks." I said kicking off my shoes.

Mr. Hood left the room probably wanting to give me privacy.

I slipped on his warm clothes and headed down stairs.

Mr. Hood sat on his couch flipping through channels on the tv.

I sat down next to him hoping he would say something.

"How was the substitute?" Mr. Hood asked pressing buttons on the remote.

"He was very boring. He didn't really explain things." I shrugged.
