Rowan's POV

It was the day after Mr. Irwin and I visited Calum.

I sat in an orange sun dress in Mr. Irwin's living room.

Every part of me just wanted to go to Calum's house and spend the whole day with him.

"Ready?" Mr. Irwin asked walking down the set of stairs.

"Yeah." I said exhaling tapping my hands on my knees.

"You look quite beautiful." He said standing in front of me.

"Thank you." I softly said pulling at my uncomfortable shoe.

"Alright well, we should be on our way. Don't want to be fashionably late." He said grabbing his keys from a bowl on a small table by the door.

I nodded my head and walked out the door with him.

-

We were about 10 minutes away from where the wedding was taking place.

"Also, I want you to call me Ashton at the wedding." He spoke keeping his focus on the road.

I stayed quiet looking out the window.

"You want to be with him, don't you?" He said in between a soft and harsh voice.

"Of course, why would I want to be apart from him and pretend like I'm having a good time." I said looking at him.

We hit a red light.

"You don't want to come with me." He said looking down at his lap.

"No."

He made a U-Turn causing my head to lightly hit the window.

"Mr. Irwin?" I said hoping he wouldn't begin to yell.

He was silent till we came to a full stop.

I looked out the window to see Calum's house.

"If you get out of this car and walk up those steps, I will fail you. If you stay in this car after I finish speaking, I'll pass-" He said before I unbuckled my seat belt.

I pulled the handle and pushed the car door open.

I made sure not to slam the door close when I got out.

"You've just failed chemistry." Mr. Irwin sternly said rolling down the passenger window.

I looked at him in the eyes and put up my middle finger.

Mr. Irwin shook his head and drove off quickly.

I smiled to myself and ran up the steps and into Calum's house.

"Calum?" I called out breathlessly.

I wasn't expecting him to shout out so I searched for him.

He wasn't in the living room, nor was he in the kitchen.

I walked up the stairs and into his bedroom.
