Rowan's POV

I've texted Calum 5 times within 3 days and still no response.

His phone can't be dead because why wouldn't he charge it when it died/is dead and it can't be cut off because he is literally making more money in a day than my parents make in a 2 months.

So here I wait for Abdiel to come pick me up.

This isn't a date.

It's just a nice day to go to the beach.

We both just want to get together and get to know each other.

Me: calum you haven't answered my texts in 3 days.

Me: what's wrong? did i say something or do something to make you feel upset at me? if so, i'm sorry!

I sighed and looked up at the ceiling.

Frustrated, I threw my phone down on the couch and closed my eyes.

Did I do something? Did I say something?

I picked my phone back up and saw that instead of it saying "Delivered" it read "Read at 12:03" which was 1 minute ago.

Me: you just read my text i can clearly see it

I rolled my eyes at the words "Read at 12:04" appearing under the text.

Abdiel: I think I'm in the front of your house

I got up and walked out of my house to see if he was really here, he was.

-

Abdiel and I stood with our ankles in the ocean water.

"So, let's start with you. Talk." Abdiel commanded.

I heard a click of a camera as if a picture was taken.

"My name is Rowan Collins, I'm 17, I don't have a job, I'm the youngest out of my 2 siblings, I'm in the 11th grade, my birthday is June 18th, and I like every shade of black," I said laughing at the last part.

Abdiel laughed as well.

"Your turn." I said.

"My name is Abdiel Barraza, I'm just getting out of a relationship,"

Of course you are.

"I am 17, I go to a school not to far from here, my dream is to drop out of school next year and pursue my dream of being a singer, I have a brother and a sister, mmm that's all." He laughed.

"You're an interesting person, Abdiel." I laughed.

"So are you." He chuckled.

I turned to my side and looked over at an island not far from here.

-

I exited Ryan's room from his shower in a towel and wet hair.

Abdiel and I decided to take showers at my house, separately, and then go out somewhere else.

I walked to my room dripping with water.

I bent over looking for clothes in my drawer.
