Creamy Ham and Mushroom Pasta

Ingredients:

1 teaspoon butter

1 shallot

¼ teaspoon crushed garlic

1 slice ham

2 mushrooms

1 teaspoon plain flour

Pinch mustard

30mL milk

1 tablespoon cream

1 tablespoon tasty cheese

1 teaspoon parmesan cheese

1 teaspoon chopped parsley

¼ cup of pasta

1 cup of water

Measuring spoons/cup/jug

Board

Knife

Wooden spoon

Fork

Sieve

Pan

Step 1: Place water in saucepan to boil. When boiling add pasta. Cook until tender. Strain and rinse.

Step 2: While pasta is cooking, chop shallots, ham and mushrooms.

Step 3: Melt butter, sauté shallots, garlic and ham in melted butter until shallots are transparent. Add mushrooms.

Step 4: Remove pan from heat. Stir in flour, mustard, milk and cream.

Step 5: Return to heat, and stir until sauce boils and thickens. Boil for 2 minutes.

Step 6: Store sauce into pasta. Reheat.
