Creamy Vegetable Soup

Ingredients: Soup

200g pumpkin

½ medium onion

1 bacon rasher

10g butter

¼ packet Chicken soup mix

1 cup water

2 tablespoons cream (optional)

Croutons:

1 slice of bread

Cooking spray

Cooks Tools:

Measuring cups/spoons

Board

Peeler

Knife

Butter container

Saucepan

Baking tray

Fork

Whisk

Step 1: Preheat oven, bake/190.

Step 2: Peel vegetables, remove seeds, and chop into small pieces.

Step 3: Melt butter.

Step 4: Add onion and fry until soft.

Step 5: Add vegetables, soup mix, water and stir.

Step 6: Bring to boil, turn heat down. Put a lid on and simmer 10 mins or until tender, stir occasionally.

Step 7: Remove crusts from bread.

Step8: Cut remaining bread into cubes.

Step 9: Place on baking tray and spray lightly with oil.

Step 10: Bake 5 mins, turn cubes and back for a further 5 mins.

Step 11: Process soup (in jug stab blender).

Step 12: Return to pan, stir through cream, reheat 1-2 minutes.

Step 13: Serve.
