Ingredients:

115g plain flour

Pinch salt

2 eggs

4 tablespoons melted butter

300mL milk and water mixed together

17.5cm, 7 in frying pan

Step 1: Put the flour and salt in a bowl. Add the eggs and some of the milk and water and whisk in the flour a little at a time.

Step 2: Then gradually pour the remaining milk and water into the mixture, whisking it until the ingredients are well mixed in.

Step 3: Add half the melted butter to the mixture and whisk it again. This smooth, creamy mixture is called batter.

Step 4: Brush the frying pan with a little melted butter and heat it until it sizzles. Then pour in two tablespoonful’s of batter.

Step 5: Quickly tilt the pan from side to side until there is a thin layer of batter spreading across the base of the frying pan.

Step 6: Cook the pancake for about a minute, then flip over, cook it for 10 more seconds and slide it onto a warm plate.

Step 7: Serve with whipped cream and syrup.
