Rice Pudding with Stewed Apple

Ingredients:

1 apple

¼ cup of water

½ cup of rice

1 cup water (rice)

1½ cups milk

30g butter

½ teaspoons vanilla

⅛ cup sugar

Cooks Tools:

Measuring cups/spoons

Peeler

Board

Sieve

Knife

Wooden spoon

Step 1: Cook rice in boiling water, until soft.

Step 2: Peel and core apple, cut into eighths.

Step 3: Place apple in saucepan with water.

Step 4: Stew on moderate heat, lid on, until tender.

Step 5: Drain apples.

Step 6: Drain and rinse rice.

Step 7: Heat milk, over medium heat.

Step 8: Add rice, butter and sugar to milk.

Step 9: Stir until the mixture thickens (approximately 15 mins)

Step 10: Stir in vanilla.

Step 11: Serve in container with apples and refrigerate.
