Riley left the hospital the next morning, a little sore on the side, but was generally better. Surprisingly, when she was sitting in the waiting room, Scott McCall and Allison arrived and picked her up. She had never spoken to Allison before. Not that much with Scott either, so it was weird for them to pick her up after what had happened.
Oh, god. Do these people have weird supernatural powers as well? Is that why they're here, to talk to her about it? Honestly, she just wanted to go home and forget about everything that happened in the last week. She would actually rather spend time with her family than talk to these people.
Riley sat in the back and didn't mutter a word the entire time. Scott and Allison kept looking at each other as Scott drove through town. Does he even know where she lived? He probably does, since everyone knows where she lived. She looked down at the bandage covering her whole forearm, feeling the fabric. She wondered if they would scar. They pulled into her driveway and Scott stopped outside her house. She opened the door and got out, mumbling a 'thanks' before she shut the door. She was walking up to her door when she heard the car engine shut off and two doors opening and closing. She turned around and saw Allison and Scott behind her, watching her as she stood outside her door.
"Um, would you like to come in?" Riley asked awkwardly, hoping they'd say no. She honestly didn't know what they wanted, or why they were here. They're not her friends and she had never considered them to be. Maybe they thought that she was their friend? Maybe they thought they were being nice? She guessed they wanted to be her friend. It makes sense, why else would they pick her up?
Or maybe they wanted information on Isaac. Some weird things have been going on between Isaac and Scott, and since she's close to Isaac, maybe Scott thinks that by being nice to her, she could tell him about Isaac. But wait, Stiles and him are friends, and Stiles knows about Isaac and Derek being werewolves... Did Stiles tell Scott that Riley was at the police station that night? Maybe Scott wanted to talk to her about it. But why would he when he could just ask Stiles?
Allison looked at Scott, then smiled at Riley then nodded. She almost forgot the question that she asked until they walked up to her door. She unlocked and walked inside her house, Allison following closely and Scott behind her. They both entered the house, Scott shuddering a little bit as he passed the threshold. Allison looked at him with concern.
"What's wrong?" She asked, and Scott frowned. He looked at the door frame and the surrounding stone, trying to figure out why he just had that unsettling wave that passed him.
"I don't know... I think this house is surrounded by mountain ash." He replied, and both him and Allison looked at Riley. She was way too tired to comprehend what he was talking about.
"I don't even know what mountain ash is. I would appreciate it if you didn't bring weird supernatural terms into my house. I would rather have a supernatural creature free zone and anything that relates to it." She chuckled, looking at Scott who didn't crack a smile. Riley stopped smiling as a scowl came across her face. "Please do not tell me that you're one of them as well."
She groaned when he nodded embarrassingly. She looked at Allison in expectation, and she shook her head vigorously.
"I'm not a werewolf. I actually hunt them, funnily enough." She informed, and Riley just rolled her eyes.
"Am I the only normal person in this town?" Riley groaned. "Look, can we talk later, or better yet; never! I'm going to go to sleep. Not trying to be rude or anything, but I would love for you both to leave my house and maybe never come back? Damn, that sounded nicer in my head. Anyways, bye." Riley said, and lightly pushed Allison out of the door. She shut it close and headed up to her room, where she slammed the door shut.
