Riley turned around and saw the two paramedics that brought Isaac in here at the door, followed by Gerard Argent in the centre. One of the paramedics held a sword, which Riley would not stop looking at in fear. Her heart rate accelerated fast, as she felt Isaac trying to hold her as a means of giving her comfort. She tried not to be afraid, but it was a bit hard since there were three men staring menacingly at her with one of them holding a weapon. She tried her best, for Isaac.
She stood up, leaving Isaac on the ground as she stepped in front of him.
"You're not touching him." She warned, ignoring the shakiness in her voice. She truly was terrified. Her whole body shook and it was evident as she held her hands out by her side. "You're not going near him. I know you Argent, I know what your family does."
Gerard smiled at her, nodding an approval at her braveness. "Of course you do, being the Beacon that you are. I'm sure you're aware that your family too were hunters once? Very good ones, I've heard." He replied, in an almost taunting way. Riley hated the way he talked to her, as if she was just a weak, helpless girl.
But she wasn't, she had a trick up her sleeve.
"It was a good effort Isaac, it really was; at least you tried to protect yourself. But it was unfortunate that your rescue party is not very... Intimidating." He trailed off, taking the sword from its sheath and admiring it. "This would be so much more poetic if it was half time." He added, staring at the sword as he brought it up to his shoulder.
He looked at Riley with a smirk, before bringing the sword down and grazing it on the floor.
"Step aside Riley, or you will end up in the way Isaac will; in pieces." Gerard threatened, but Riley didn't move. She was definitely scared, of course, but she was not about to back down.
The two men approached Riley and grabbed her arms, Riley squirming and protesting. They took her behind Gerard and was about to walk out the door, but he stopped them.
"No, I want her to see this. I want her to see what her family had done." He stated, and they stood at the door. Riley felt helpless; her best friend was about to be killed in front of her. She couldn't do anything, but she had to. She had to save him, even though he was a werewolf.
"No! Let go of me, let go! Isaac!" She yelled, as she watched Gerard draw closer to him. Isaac kept crawling back until he supported himself up onto the sink, watching in fear as Gerard grew closer. Riley grew angry as tears threatened to spill from her eyes. The silver sword caught a glimpse of Riley and she saw her eyes transform into a metallic glow. Emma had come out to play.
The two men gasped in horror as they saw a large white silhouette grow from Riley and tower over them. The woman bore wolf skin and held a spear in her hands as she let out a war cry. As the woman moved around, Riley did too. It was as if Riley was a puppet on strings. Gerard looked through the mirror in shock as he watched Riley snake out of their grips and started to attack them. She turned to the one on her left and kicked him in the stomach where he fell to the ground, winded. She walked over, bent down and picked him up, before taking his head and smashing it into the lockers where he slumped to the ground unconscious. The man behind her grabbed her arms and pinned them to her sides, where she knocked her head back and into his face where she heard a bone crack. His nose was definitely broken. He staggered back in pain as he held his nose, Riley walked up to him and punching his face with her fist, where he fell onto the ground in a bloody mess. She cried out again, before turning to Gerard. He was watching in horror, before his eyes shifted to Scott in the door frame.
Riley looked at him and had danger in her eyes. The real Riley inside, was fighting back the urge to rip off the werewolf's head and hang it on her wall. Instead of doing so, she pushed him back into the hallway and ran off, leaving them to their thoughts.
As Riley ran, the metallic in her eyes faded until it was fully gone, and the silhouette of Emma Beacon had done the same. Riley only stopped running until she was out of the school and in the parking lot. She gasped for breath, suddenly realizing what she had just done.
Back at the lacrosse game, when the clock was down 30 seconds, the team was cheering because Stiles Stilinski had scored the last few goals that were sure going to bring them a win. Not everyone was cheering though, because Scott had arrived at the game in panic. Gerard was nowhere to be seen, but Jackson was. Scott didn't know what to do. Everyone was running around and was ecstatic because with 15 seconds on the clock, there was no way the other team would score enough goals to beat the Beacon Hills Cyclones. Jackson took his gloves off and his eyes morphed of that into great lizard slits. He was by the goals whereas everyone else was cheering at the other end of the field. Scott watched in fear as Jackson took out his claws, and the clock on the large billboard struck to zero with home scoring 10 points and away scoring just 9. The already cheering crowd grew louder as everyone applauded Stilinski for scoring the winning goals. Scott was relieved that nothing happened, the opposite to what Gerard had told him moments before. Scott knew that Gerard was the new master of the Kanima, but Riley didn't, which would have been good information for her. As soon as Scott had shown signs of comfort, all of the field lights shut off, leaving the crowd and team in total darkness.
A scream erupted throughout the whole field, and Riley heard it from the parking lot.
