She arrived at Scott's house in a few minutes and parked in his driveway. She hoped that he didn't mind. She was walking up to the front door when a blue Jeep parked in front of Scott's house. Stiles, Allison, Jackson and Lydia all climbed out, and they were chatting among themselves. When Riley looked at Allison, however, a sense of familiarity and almost hatred washed over her. She glared at her, a sudden anger flowing through her as she looked at her. She didn't know why, but she suddenly really did not like Allison. Lydia looked up at Riley and tilted her head at her.

"What's she doing here?" She asked, pointing at Riley. Riley  tore her eyes off of Allison who hadn't noticed Riley until Lydia pointed her out and suddenly felt uncomfortable being the center of Lydia's attention. But that soon faded, as Lydia started to question why she, herself, was there. Stiles just waved her off and opened the door, everyone walking inside.

"So, where's Scott?" Riley asked, while Stiles started to lock all of the locks on the door. Everyone looked uncomfortable as Stiles had done it, and they all looked at Lydia who was staring at Stiles in a confused way.

"He's coming." Stiles said to Riley, and noticed Lydia was looking at him. "Oh um, there's been some break-ins around the neighbourhood."

Lydia rolled her eyes and looked at her nails, admiring the perfectly done manicure. Riley couldn't help but admire them too; they were nice nails. Stiles spotted a chair next to the stairs and grabbed it, putting it under the doorknob.

Lydia looked at him again, not understanding the amount of protection that he had just put on the house.

"And a murder." Stiles lied, and Lydia frowned at him. "It was bad!"

"Lydia, follow me. I need to talk to you." Jackson said, and started to walk towards the back of the house.

"Seriously? What is wrong with everyone?" She muttered, and followed him nevertheless. Riley turned to Stiles and Allison with her arms crossed.

"Is Derek coming to kill her? Is that why we're here?" She asked, and Allison looked towards the back the house where they went and nodded to Riley.

"It's best to keep everyone in the same place. We're safer in numbers. And since Derek was also going to kill you as well, it would be good for you to be here as well." Allison explained, and Riley nodded. She looked around while sighing, spotting the living room and walking inside. She sat down on the couch and took out her phone. Isaac had texted her.

'where were you?'

Riley unlocked her phone and texted him back, deciding that it wasn't fair to keep him hanging for so long.

'went to see the vet. I finally know what I am.'

She locked her phone again, resting her elbow on the arm rest of the couch and leaning her head in her hand as she looked at the blank tv set in front of her. She sat there for a while, completely zoned out. She was thinking about what Deaton told her. A shield? That made sense, but she was still confused. So she can block supernatural powers... Is that it? Sounds cool, yes, but can it help others? She wondered if she could pass it on to someone... No, maybe not. She thought that it might take lots of practice to do that. Even though she knew what she was, she still wasn't satisfied. She still had questions.

"Riley? Stay there. Don't go near the windows." Stiles called out, but Riley didn't snap out of her zoned state. She felt like she could stare at the TV forever. She didn't know what was wrong with her, it was like she was in a trance; it was like she was daydreaming. Minutes passed, and she was still staring. She didn't blink once. Maybe she was in shock. She just found out that she wasn't normal, so obviously it would shake her. She heard distant voices but she didn't focus on them. She was only thinking about one thing; Derek.

She didn't notice that Isaac was already in the house, and had Allison and Stiles both on the floor. She just sat there, as if nothing was happening around her. Stiles was watching Isaac from the ground, but was also side glancing at Riley.

"Riley, what are you doing? Do something!" Stiles yelled, and Isaac looked at her as well. But no, he couldn't be side tracked. He was doing this for Riley. Suddenly, Riley got up and walked over to Isaac, who was hovering over Stiles. She, unknowingly, grabbed Isaac's shoulder and pulled him away from Stiles, who had a vase in his hands. Isaac turned to Riley and growled, then he realized who it was.

"Riley?" He asked, but Riley was gone. It wasn't Riley anymore; something had taken over.
