Riley stayed in her car for about five minutes until Stiles had come running out of the building. She quickly jumped out, eager for some excitement, and he came running up to her, carefully jumping over something. She looked down and only just noticed a weird dark powder that formed a line from what looked like all around the warehouse.
"What is that?" She asked, bending down, a familiar smell entering her nose. It smelt like her house, oddly. She reached out and went to touch it, but Stiles started to yell at her.
"No! Don't break the seal! It's mountain ash; it's to keep Jackson inside." He explained, as he pulled her up from the ground.
"Okay! Jesus, don't have to be so grabby." She muttered, as she rubbed her arms. Derek came running from behind them and looked at the line, almost disappointedly.
"Oh hey, so um," Stiles greeted, as he watched the door to the building. "We kind of lost Jackson inside, but it's..." He trailed off as he spotted Erica and Isaac coming out of the door.
Riley perked up when she saw Isaac, but he didn't immediately see her. He and Erica looked down at the mountain ash barrier, and looked unsure but scared about it. They must have been trapped.
"Oh my god, it's working! Yes! I did something." Stiles exclaimed, obviously happy about the success. No one else seemed very happy about it though.
"Isaac." Riley said, and he looked over at her. He smiled and walked down the railing to her, but stopped at the line. Riley smiled back, and stepped across the line to hug him. He hugged her back, as he was glad to see her safe. "I heard that Jackson escaped. Are you okay? Is that your blood?"
She let go of him and grazed his shirt that had puncture marks in it, but his skin looked fine underneath.
"It's okay. We were trying to sedate Jackson using Ketamine but he clawed us. I'm okay." He reassured, and Riley was really starting to hate Jackson even more.
"I swear, next time I see him, I'm going to punch him." She threatened, and Isaac chuckled.
"Me too." He replied, and Riley punched his shoulder. Derek's ears suddenly perked up as he looked up at the warehouse.
"Scott." He muttered, and Stiles looked at him in confusion. "Break it." Derek commanded, and Stiles looked at him like he was crazy.
"What? No way!" He replied, and Derek looked exasperated.
"Scott's dying!" He yelled, and Stiles looked shocked.
"Okay, what? How do you know that?" He asked calmly, and Derek looked eager.
"Oh my god. I just know Stiles! Break it!" He shouted, and Stiles looked down at the line and bent down, before unwillingly breaking the seal. Derek ran passed him and dashed into the building, leaving the teenagers in confusion. Stiles looked really sad about his broken line; Riley thought that he was being stupid.
"What do you think is happening?" Riley asked Stiles, but he was busy moping about his line.
"We should go help him." Erica offered, and Isaac shook his head.
"No, Derek can handle himself. We need to look after Riley and Stiles." He replied, and Stiles looked surprised.
"Really, so protecting us is now on your agenda? Because last time I checked, you were about to kill me." Stiles answered sarcastically, and Isaac rolled his eyes.
"Trust me, I'd rather kill myself than be on your side. But we have priorities." Isaac explained, and Riley pursed her lips. He didn't have to be rude about it.
Stiles sat in his car after Isaac's remark, but didn't go anywhere. He wanted to make sure that Scott was okay. Riley sat on the hood of her car and Isaac followed suit. She had a wave of nostalgia hit her as she smiled.
"I remember this." She mumbled, and leaned back on the windscreen. "I miss this."
"Yeah, it was definitely the good old days." Isaac replied, doing the same as her. She nodded as she watched the tall roof that was above her. About 10 minutes after Derek had ran inside the building, he came back out. He was dragging Scott out as well.
That was not good.
